Spurs Show True Colours In London 2012 Bale Out

Typical! The decision to select Bale for a meaningles friendly when he is supposedly too injured to play for Team GB says it all. Whilst Brazilian stars are missing domestic league games to represent their nation on the other side of the world, Bale and Spurs have put two fingers up to the Olympics and to FIFA by opting to fly Bale to the USA and select him before the Olympics has even kicked off.

Apparently Pearce isn't going to call for Bale's suspension but a ban should be automatic - and applied to competitive fixtures to make it meaningful. And sanctions shouldn't just apply to the player. Spurs have knifed the nation in the back on the eve of the big Olympic kick off and should be brought to book for displaying such arrogant contempt for the spirit of the game.

And to think they had the bloody nerve to bid for the Olympic Stadium!

My only surprise is that you appear to be surprised that Spurs would do it.
They are scum bags and the Harry legacy will live on ....cheating , lying and knifing everyone in the back .

Nation ...what nation would that be ?

The great British football team has never even played a competettive fixture ...ever...who is he letting down?
If he prefers not to play then that his affair .....why do you feelso let down by a Spurs player ? get over yourself...Spuirs pay his wages like it or not

Not a surprise really, the Levy era of utter contempt for fair play, fairness and ethics continues.
08:57's comment just further goes to show how, unfortunately, the fans are embracing this too.
Let's just hope that there is such a thing as Karma ... new stadium burning down upon completion anyone???

You’re talking bullshit on this one HF. Spurs haven’t let anyone down and are looking after their own interests – as indeed we should have done by refusing to let Tomkins play for GB. Our defence looks pretty crap as it is but if Tomkins gets injured playing in this meaningless tournament then we’re well and truly stuffed.

Football should not be an Olympic sport and quite frankly our authorities agree as we never normally bother entering. We’ve only entered this time because we’re hosting the bloody thing and it would look bad if we didn’t.

Will you bother watching any of GB’s games because I sure as hell won’t?!

It's a total fucking waste of time and effort.
