Normally, there would be an edge of resentment if a former player only started to perform to his potential after departing, but you would have to go a long, long way to find a West Ham fan who would wish Freddie ill.
Let's hope the run continues and Freddie fires Colchester up to the Championship.

Have to agree HF, we may even buy him back if he carries on like this.... Now how much IRONy can yo take!
Never got a chance as a striker in the 1st team was prolific in youth and reserve never understood why we stuck him out on the wing good luck to the lad
I think you can safely say he has found his level HF.
I think you can safely say he has found his level, HF.
Oh the irony. A post about West Ham and hardly anyone is interested.
Congrats on building an entire community of fans united solely by their hatred of you.
I hate all this "wasn't given a chance!" talk.
It's plain & simple - he wasn't good enough.
I say Good Luck to Freddie, Never given a proper chance, the same will happen with Sam Baldock if we let him go he will be knocking the goals in!
Beyond me this old school thinking of Big Sam, select the biggest lad in the class, does not mind if he has a football brain or any skill, just Heave the ball in the air to him and with a lot of luck he may score Four Goals in a season for us!
Good luck to the lad! Always liked him, but as many already stated, he wasn't good enough. Simple as that.
Just an independent view but maybe the lad just wasn't suited to the hoofball football your club is associated with?... Good to see the boy is trying to better himself, by moving and bagging a few he might finally bag himself a move to a big club.
They clearly play the ball to feet at Colchester then. 24 hours to go if you're to beat Donny for Billy Paynters signiture,he's right up your street.
04:41 still better than the drivel you spurt HEADmaster. BTW how are those young children in your care, are you teaching them to follow your lead to be a success in the real world? Mmwwwaaahhhaaaahhhhaaaaaa
