£4m also sounds toppy to me when there are a host of forwards available on a free and when Yakubu is available for £1.5m. Yakubu actually outscored Holt last season, playing for Blackburn who finished well below Norwich in the table. And the Nigerian is two years younger than Holt and has been banging in goals at the highest level for considerably longer than Grant come very very lately. Compare Yakubu's 103 Premiership goals with Holt's paltry 15. So who is better value exactly?
Yakubu's wages would be higher but I know who I want.

You're right about holt but I wouldn't go with the yak either, also nearly past it
Holt over Yakubu for me. Holt is a passionate player, and I think he is still aiming for a place in future England squads. Yakubu only started playing well for Blackburn because he was awful at Everton for 2 years and had a point to prove. If Yakubu comes in and gets a 3 year+ contract, expect an Ilunga, i.e. thanks for the 3 year contract, that'll do, I don't really care about what happens from now on.
So for me Holt, it'll be like having Ashton back all over again. In fact, thinking about it, it doesn't really matter who we sign because knowing our luck, they'll do their ligaments on their debut.
yak any day of the week compared with holt to old to much money
Talk about a regressive step. If he was free or £1m then maybe. The Yak would be a better bet but we really need an aerial striker. Just one that's better than Holt. Would prefer a punt on Kenwyne Jones if we was under £5m.
