Is it just a case of trying to make a noise, any noise, in the close season silence? For most of us, the Taco Bell doppelganger is a not very fond memory, the latest in a long line of over rated, over paid and over here mercenaries who have milked the club down the years. But, for some reason, the OS are intent on keeping the Mexican at the front of our minds.
Could it be that we are going to give him another go in the Prem? Is there a hope that he might have matured and that he might yet do a job for us? The boy has ability, as he repeatedly shows in a Mexico shirt, but how many players make a come back after heart replacement surgery? And without a new heart, Barrera is never going to cut it in the Prem.

Doubt hes coming back. By speaking highly of him any transfer fee is maximized. Or maybe he is a backup plan if certain transfer targets dont materialize. Regardless, I think whatever the OS says is basically meaningless when it comes to players.
