QPR CEO Admits It's Sell Or Bust If Relegated

So the Hula Hoops are coming off big time in the Bush. Not only do the club face relegation, Chief Executive Phillip Beard has admitted that players will have to be sold should QPR go down.

This represents an amazing turn around. It was only a couple of weeks ago that Beard and Fernandes were insisting that the project would not be derailed by relegation. Dropping into the Championship was only going to be a blip, QPR would still relocate to a new stadium, move to the next level, challenge at the top end of the Prem...blah, blah, blah.

And the poor Rs swallowed the bullshit, just like West Ham fans swallowed our CEO Duxbury's bullshit. Back then I used this blog to serve notice that Duxbury was spinning faster and harder than a gyroscope in a tumble dryer, but West Ham fans wouldn't have it. I was a traitor, a fool, a liar, a cnut, a fcuking idiot. The trouble is, I was right.

And history is repeating itself in the Bush. From the off I warned that Fernandes might be a conman, selling a line to gullible Rs. I warned that the promises would come to nothing, that the talk of a new stadium was a distraction, that the £20m transfer war chest was cobblers. But like the gullible West Ham fans, the gRs wouldn't have it! There was no way that QPR would struggle! There was no way that Ferdnades was bullshitting! I was a fool, a liar, a cnut, a fcuking idiot. Except, once again, it looks like I was right!

I don't expect any apologies. Football fans are passionate. Blinkered to the point of blindness, but passionate. And I am genuinely sad that QPR are possibly being shafted by Fernandes, a guy who claimed to have stood on the terraces watching the great Stan Bowles three seasons after the master gambler played his last game for the club. That might have been a clue to Tony's insincerity of course, as I pointed out at the time, but the gRs had their heads forced so far up their own arses that they couldn't see it.

Beard, meanwhile, is presuming that Barton, Wright-Phillips and co will command a fee. But QPR signed Joey and SWP for a reason - nobody else wanted them! And that was before their frailties were fully exposed by Warnock and Hughes. Tell me, who would want them now? And that's before you take their absurd salaries into account.

It's a mess in the Bush and there's more shit to hit the fan yet. I fear QPR could be the new Pompey, with Fernandes pissing off back to Malaysia, pocketing the parachute payment to offset his initial investment and saddling the club with crippling debts and an unsustainable wage bill.

I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not, I'm afraid I will tell you I told you so. And thus far, I've been pretty much spot on as far as QPR are concerned haven't I?

How has Fernandes lied about anything? He has said that he will stay with the club should we go down,so let's wait and see what happens should that become the case shall we?You also forget that while Fernandes is majority owner,we also have Mittal involved so I'm sure the Portsmouth comparison is pretty far off the mark too.

If fernandes walks mittal will take full shares which we all wanted in the first place and If we go down Barton and Swp will be off sounds good to me we will go down though and there's no guarantee we will come straight back up westspam are proof of that

Guys, if Mittal was serious, you would have Tevez and Torres leading the line by now. Money is no object to the guy. So tell me, why haven't QPR entered the transfer market like Man City did when the Arabs took over? And why didn't he buy the club outright? And why is Beard now talking about selling players?

Torres and tevez are u sure mate lay off the drugs and come back to the real world you prick how is our situation anything like city's you do talk utter bollocks hf stick to your hammers crap

BECAUSE HE NEVER SAID MONEY WAS NO OBJECT!!!!!

You can put words in his mouth all you like, and try and make out he is the devil, but the reality is he has been great for QPR, despite the poor season

Stop trying to rub off your annoyances with your clubs owners on QPR's

He has done absolutely everything he has said he would, so unless you want to actually start doing some research I suggest you should shut the hell up

1049 and 1104, you can't have it both ways. Either Mittal is one of the richest men in the world and he is committed to QPR; or he isn't. If he is, you could be the new Man City or Chelsea; if he isn't, you could be in a relegation place going into the final phase of the season. Hang on, where are you?

Hmmmm. What does that say about Mittal's commitment?

QPR look to be going down all though i still think we will be safe. Fernandes has done everything he said he would and IF we go down it makes sense to get the big wages off the bill so we can have the majority of the parachute payments in the bank for when QPR go back up or towards the new training facility etc and are not wasting the little money you get in the championship and the parachute money on a couple of players. IF we go down we wont go straight back up we need to build again except this time we have a solid foundation and if we stay up we have the foundation to build on the only difference will be the budget to work on. As for Mittal and Bhatia they are fully committed to QPR there are two reasons they havent pumped money in (1) They are NOT majority shareholders. I wouldnt want to pump my millions into something that i've not got full control in or majority stake bcause i dont hav final say on what gets done with it. (2)They want to build QPR the right way with sustainability not pump the mils in win a few cups if we leave the clubs bust or gotta keep pumpin money in they want the club to support itself and are thinking for the future not the here and now.

So whatever will be will be we wont know til next season but we know one thing that us hoops will be supporting QPR rain or shine next season no mater what division we are in because we care about our club and unlike you dont have time to sit there every week picking apart other clubs because if you actually looked at yours would realize you aint nothing special a mediocre team at best and before you get on your high horse i know QPR aint either but one day we will be thats what we are building for and i think thats what bugs you the fact you know QPR are going places and West Ham arent bit of jealously me thinks. Anyways rant over and UP THE R's

to thw west ham fan, understand yuour point and noramlly I would thnk you are right, but Mittal has always sat in the back ground he underwrote all of Flavio's manager sackings ans said nothing, he has also stumped up money for players. The own 505 of shares I believe now which is what they wanted,if we go down to seel big wage earenrs is probably a good diea and you are right to say he is ninted and why is he not buying these big players, but A: would they come, ground size club history etc, and B: he has spent a fair amouth on Zamora et al, to star noff with. The initial idea was to stay up, so if that works, then I am sure they will build again. But the one thing these rich poeple don;t do is throw money away so buy all those players and lose millions is madness, we have started building an academy again, better trainnig facilities etc it's all part of building things with stability. Hence no Tevez etc.
