QPR's Barton to West Ham, Noble to Sunderland?

West Ham fans who have campaigned against Noble for years may be about to get their just deserts with rumours that we have revived interest in signing Joey Barton. The deal would only make sense if Allardyce is considering cashing in on Noble.

Di Canio, of course, has seen a lot of Noble, watching West Ham games over the years. He understands Noble's qualities and knows that he is a leader on the pitch. Allardyce has been a fan up until now, but he has worked with Barton before so it is hard to dismiss the story out of hand.  That said, we have been linked with Barton more often than we have been linked with Beckham, so this may still be lazy journalism. I hope so!

Just imagine Barton, Carroll and Morrison in the same dressing room. Never mind Hull City Tigers, we could rebrand as West Ham Fight Club or West Ham Total C**TS.

Of course, the logical move would be for Barton to link up with Di Canio at Sunderland. They are both big on fascist salutes after all!

Hmmm, I like the sound of West Ham Total C**ts.... but would that mean we'd have to bring back John Terry??

Be a bit strange to use him in all the marketing and especially to use him as the core of the promotional Olympic Dream video the club have been pushing so hard with both it AND the making of the video versions only to ship this local boy made good this face of this local community club off to Sunderland. And then replace him with a self destructive trouble maker who self destructs, is past his best and would do everything to destroy the very careful image the club have been perpetuating around the very guy he replaces. A mad, mad world indeed if that should come about.

Are we building for a new team to move into the Olympic stadium or are we opening a retirement home for old injury prone pro's coming to the end of there career's? Another 30 plus if Barton come's in plus selling a twenty six year old at his physical peak. Why not bring in Parker as well? i'm only fifty two perhaps I can get a contract.

Yep I would take Barton and let Noble go. Would make for a stronger and harder team. Noble's head goes down too often and with better players in the squad I believe the perception that Noble is the heart and soul is rather exposed leaving him simply a good squad player.

I am sure in a few years when PDC eventually becomes our new manager we may get Noble back and perhaps he may have matured mentally by then.

Reports have suggested that the English midfielder PDC wants is Huddlestone. Why anyone would want to sign him is beyond me but I can't see us selling Nobes and even if a bid was accepted, would he want to leave? I doubt it. And as for Joey Barton, we've got enough midfielders with Morrison and Diarra seeming like new signings so I'd be very surprised if this happened.

Count me out as a supporter if Barton comes.
Enough is enough.

Why would signing Barton mean he would get rid of Noble, HF? A player he's shown so much favouritism towards? I think it's bit of a leap if you've concluded that yourself and it has not been reported. I think you're just trying to make me happy for no reason.

The day he goes, the doom and gloom will be lifted. We'll finally have 11 on the pitch

Hey fanny are you doing a fantasy league this year? would be nice to see if you could finish above 30th

Does Sam want to turn West Ham into a retirement home for old injury prone pros. Parker linked as well, really hope and pray this is all just speculation by bored bloggers.

I have a massive soft spot for Noble due to the fact he came through the academy and he is west ham through and through but I do often wonder when it comes to us going to the next level in the prem is he really good enough? Be honest!!

How about Stuart Broad and Ian Bell for West Ham, HF? They certainly know how to get the job done when needed, so why the hell not?

Sorry lads, I just don't see Noble as part of the next WHU evolution. If I'm wrong then fantastic

Don't worry, he ain't gonna take a step down to smaller club with no ambition is he? Eh

That's a good shout lad, so come on HF put your money where your mouth is since you seem to think you are the Oracle of all things football, do fantasy football and see if you can Finnish higher than us everyday fans!
