It's not great to get into a losing habit, of course, but we only had half a first team out for each 45 minutes so we shouldn't read too much into what happened. Although Baldock's goal was good news: it would be great if the lad proved to Allardyce that he is worth a shot at the top level because he looks a more natural goal scorer than anybody else currently on the books, Vaz Te apart.
The three goals conceded may also be good news in the long run if it persuades Sullivan & Gold that new defenders are needed for us to survive in the Prem.
So, disappointing that we lost but let's not worry just yet.

How about goaltending? I did not see the game, and the reports dont say much about the guys between the posts. I was not bothered Green left, but do you think the plan is Henderson and Jussi? If so, is it enough?
I'm happy with Jussi mate.
Why? He wasn't the first choice at Bolton last year and they went down.
Just don't let HF see the training photos on the official Facebook page with Noble wearing goalkeeping gloves...he may think he's good at that too
How about Mark (Iniesta)Noble? How come he played all the second half and did not turn the game around? How is this possible having such super star in our midfield and still losing 1-0 in the second half? Perhaps the super footballing brain of HF can explain this.
But seriously, don't look elsewhere. Our problem is our lack of quality midfield players. Sure we can improve in all areas but our midfield is not Premier League standard.
Absolutely Sav. Always been our midfield. They make both the defence and forwards look bad. And don't forget, we have to play 5 in midfield all the time because we have to compensate for Noble who has no attributes to his game at all. If we decide to carry the guy again this season, then we are going down again.

Guys, it's the first pre season game; the result is utterly irrelevant. I am assuming it's all about getting puff back. By the way HF loving the Leeds baiting. They can't help themselves can they!
I was at the gane yesterday. We had a lot o youngsters playing and considering that we are only a week in preseason I wouldn't take this game's result too serious. Both Goalkeepers looked good even though they got 3 goals.
Don't panic? There is every reason for HF to panic if he thinks Vaz is a goalscorer. Reckon he's been watching his Freddie Piquionne videos again.
