Former Hull, Yeovil and Huddersfield Man Heading For Leeds

So Warnock has captured yet another piece of his jigsaw, with Lee Peltier due to sign from Leicester in the next few days.

Peltier is an interesting signing. He had potential, once, and has all the raw material to be a quality player, but it may be that his true level is a division below the Championship.

He shaped up well when on loan to Yeovil and was highly regarded at Huddersfield too, but he didn't pull up any trees last season when in a Leicester shirt, which is presumably why the Foxes are willing to let him go after sourcing a better option.

Peltier will no doubt claim the vacant number two shirt, which leaves two first team players still to be recruited given the number 6 and 9 shirts are both still up for grabs.

It's been a busy old summer for Warnock but one is still left wondering about the quality of the squad he has assembled. Lots of honest old pros might be a fair assessment, but where is the flair?

Well at least we didn't get outbid by the Mighty Wigan for him. Anyway, according to your west ham blog you're going to Hungary for 2 years. Is this a sex tour for really ugly cockneys or are you intending to buy a wife who is desparate to leave the country and will do anything to get out?

Do the world a favour: grow up and get a life. It’s obvious that you don’t care about your own team which is supposed to be West Ham. And with you supposedly being a West Ham fan, I’m sure that you originally intended for this to be a West Ham blog reporting and documenting the latest news from West Ham.

Though what I have found (and I find this extremely amusing), is that you have created a Leeds United blog, and may I point out what a fine blog it is, too. Some days you even manage to beat our local YEP to the news surrounding our club, and as amusing as it sometimes is, for that I say congrats. Are you part of the Ken Bates Chelsea links? That would explain how some days you can beat our local press to the news, though you were slow on the signing of Lee Peltier.

From what I have seen of Lee Peltier quite rightly as you say, he did indeed have potential. And quite rightly as you say, his development has stalled over the last couple of seasons. However, his potential is still there, and we have a manager in Neil Warnock who is capable and has proved on more than one occasion over more than one season that he is able to make players reach their full potential, providing the potential is actually there in a player. Peltier fits the bill. Just because his development has stalled doesn’t mean he still hasn't got potential.

It’s worth knowing that a number of championship clubs were chasing him. Huddersfield town for one, who were very disappointed to lose him. It’s also worth knowing that Joel Ward, who was also a Leeds target, joined Crystal Palace. Had we actually signed Joel Ward, you would have found something bad to say about him.

Now Neil Warnock has far more managerial experience than you. Answer me this: What player wants to be involved in a relegation battle? The answer is 0. Sure you might be in the Premiership and can offer Premiership football, but you have to pay inflated Premiership wages for a team of 11 overpaid prima donnas to battle it out at the bottom end of the table. Players who will walk if and when the club gets relegated back to the championship.

With Neil Warnock, Leeds can offer a player a promotion charge and with that the possibility of silverware either as league winners or playoff winners. With that in mind, the last thing we need is a team full of overpaid prima donnas who have no intention of playing for the club.

So good luck with your team of overpaid, overrated, so-called professionals who are as loyal as a drunken gypsy in heat, who will walk the first chance they get. If and when West Ham gets sent back down to the championship.

At least we are building a team that wants to play for our club. Give me a team of 11 players who are prepared to work hard for 90 minutes week in and week out over the bunch you have and who are signing for your team such as, dare I say it, Andy Carroll. He’s as lazy as an overweight tomcat (if you’ve ever seen him in a England shirt).

In Neil Warnock I trust. MOT!

Eat that, you West Ham supporting cockney scumbag. After you come back down and we have gone up on solid foundations, let’s see how we will do in our first season back in the Premiership. I bet we won’t come straight back down like West Ham. Maybe that explains your fantastic obsession with our club Leeds United as we’re a club on the up and West Ham a club on the downward descent.

I’d also like to bet that you were one of our so-called plastic fans who supported us during the time when Woodgate, Kewell, Bowyer and co were taking Europe by storm. Once we are dominating Europe again you will be back chanting MOT like the rest of us.

Well do us a favour, stick with your very ambitious small West Ham side after they become a yo-yo team and nothing else.

In Neil Warnock we trust! The future’s bright, the future’s white! MOT! LOSER!

If it was not for Trevor Brooking you would be in division one. Take the Tezevo & Mascaponi, Sheffield were shafted by the TB and the authorities, if it had been Leeds, Newcastle or all northern clubs (Man Utd excluded) the punishment would have been horrific. There have been other incidents with TB, I will let the readers jog their memories, why don't you write a blog on the Tevez debabacle I an sure Sean Bean would love to hear your intellectual comments.

Leeds hoping to stay up with bates cheap / free signings. Hopefully they aren't going to watch and inflict hoof football on other supporters

Best blog on the net lol. Keep it up hammers fan. Makes me laugh. Some prudent points made too. Time will tell no doubt as to the wisdom of your musing. If you are wrong.......be prepared for some abuse no doubt? If we sign another decent striker I think we are in with a shout of a play off place.

This is the most pointless one yet. If you really are a West Ham fan you must be worried with your lack of transfer activity. Relegation battle with Norwich! Happy days

hahaha what a miserable little c*nt you are!!

I believe that Peltier is as pretty decent player, motivated & positive. He obviously didn´t fit in at Leicester, but good luck to him at Leeds.

Anonymous said...

Morning all, HTFC fan here. I have to question if Pelts is good enough for HTFC or LUFC. I personally am happy the we have pulled out of the race for him. I'm not convinced that he is the right choice for either club considering thier aspirations.

Leeds Mick said...

Oh dear, has there been a change of plan? Won't they let you in to Hungary? Is it due to an incident in a public toilet when the bloke who was giving you one got charged for having an offensive person on his weapon?

In fairness sky sports dont buy own players so we take what we get. Unlike West Ham rewarded for failure by the do gooders at sky sports.

Ey up HF Derby Jim here...posted anonymous on previous posts but thought I would introduce myself. As I have said supported Leeds Utd since 77, season ticket holder for 28 years...those sock tags have a lot to answer for!!....gotta say probably like a lot of leeds lads who have been on news now for updates I have discovered your blog and I enjoy the banter. Apologies for my fellow Leeds fans who resort to abuse...no need. You make valid points and our lot bite but the reason???? WE CARE. We love leeds Utd as I have said it is a unique club. Been through alot past nine years but as our song say's " ups and downs"..Grayson was a disaster his scattergun approach to loan signings was an abject failure despite promotion from div 3. In Warnock we have a manager that knows what this level is about. The Pompey lads will create a nucleus that already know how to play with each other and we have a quality keeeper for the first time since Nigel Martyn. Peltier is quality and Rodolph even though he was in Jamacia sorting out his international clearance today, will be a fans favourite. Hopefully Makail Smith can be added before next week and lets not forget a fully fit and motivated Becchio will give defences a few things to think about. Feel really positive for the first time in years a wee bit of quality on the pitch to finally come some where near to the exceptional quality we have off it. All the best HF...you still haven't said what age you are....hope you are not one of these post Sky fans.....that would disappoint me. MOT
