I admit I know nothing about the lad. He plays for Cardiff and Wales, I know that much, but neither is exactly a great reference is it? If he is worth having, why haven't Arsenal, Tottenham or Liverpool bid for him? Reports are suggesting that he is now Zola's number one priority but my question to Cardiff and Hammers fans is, just how good is he?

Brilliant for cardiff.Seen him play 1st game when he was 17.Only 21 now and will play in any team in prem.I think he could be a world class player in 2 years time .

You must be very careful writing Ledley in the title of this post as eagle eyed spurs fans will think your talking about their monarch!
He is definately a talented lad and has a big future but I dont really think he is what WestHam need.
Thats nothing against Joe Ledley but he operates primarily as a left sided mid-field player who can also operate in the middle of the part. These are not really areas that we have a problem with. Stan and Savio are both going to be looking for the left sided berth which Collison has done superbly in this season.
In a diamond formation its difficult to see where Ledley will fit in and if we operate a flat middle 4 then Stan and Savio are more natural wingers.
Given the fact that he is likely to cost £6M+ that is money that could be used elsewhere. If we could wheel and deal and maybe send a couple of squad players to Cardiff maybe Gabbs, Spector or one of those returning from loan we might get the price down to around £2M cash but I think its more likely that Cardiff will hold out for straight cash deal.
For the money we would have to spend on Ledley we could sign Marcus Berg from FC Groningen. He has a phenomenal scoring record and has bagged 17this season alone. In his career he is averageing almost a goal every other game. He is big, fast good in the air and can run and shoot. I would recommend people people check him out becasue if we dont sign him its only a matter of time before one of Europes top clubs come in for him.

I would break the Bank for Ledley think he is quality exactly what we need and will bring goals from midlfield.
We Got Collins and Gabbs from the bluebirds 2 outstanding players especially Collins he is now one of the best defenders in the prem in my opinion and glad he is a Hammer.
So i would definately try and sign Joe he is class.

He's an excellent passer of the ball but your problem is where do you play him? Myself, I'd play him in the middle just like he was for us this season. He's not the quick but a very good reader of the game who will get better. I'd let you decide if he's worth £6m but he'll fit in nicely for you.

But seriously Ledley is class and will do well in the prem but it is well known down in these parts of the valley that joe loves his women and most recently went out with a girl called Belladonna who is quite famous. He is not bad in the video games, so i guess he is good. Think he almost made it to the prem but the deal was not concluded that time.
Ledley King is a Tottenham player so it get's picked up by them hammerfan. Joe Ledley is a midfielder not a centre back 8:06. He plays best on the left but can also play central midfield or at left-back which he has done for Cardiff and Wales. I've seen him twice on Televised games and each time he's stood out as an exceptional player for Cardiff. In one of those games he scored a screamer from outside the box. I think he is exactly what Zola needs to mix it up with support as a back-up left full back and competing with Savio and Stanislas. If we are playing two games a week in Europe next year we need plenty of cover and options and Ledley offers that. Gabbidon might even be a part-ex that would be very acceptable to Cardiff but I had heard Everton are in for him and Moyes doesn't make too many mistakes does he?
