The Games Gone Crazy? You Bet It Has!

Back in January, we were somewhat surprised to learn that Faux Pas was wanted by Real Madrid. Surely somebody had got confused and released the April Fools Day story early? But no, incredibly, it was true, and in fact there was a much funnier joke stored up for All Fools Day, the announcement of Alan Shearer as manager of the carToons! That joke ran and ran all the way through to the last kick of the season - and what a kick it was, into the collective balls of every Messiah worshiping Geordie.

But not even these compare with the Portugal squad announced today! One glance reveals a team of immortals...Bosingwa, Deco, Miguel, Carvalho, Castro, Joao Moutinho, Tiago, Nani, Almeida, Pepe, Christiano Ronaldo and...Luis Boa Morte!

I can't wait for the close up on an unmarked Ronaldo's face when Luis ignores the open goal that a simple pass would create and blazes over from an acute angle instead!

ah standard account of someone who hasn't seen the kind of form boa morte has been in recently.

he'll never be an amazing goalscorer or have brilliant skill...but he has a fighting spirit and has really turned his fortunes around at the tail end of this season.

I'll never be his biggest fan, but hats off for his last 5 or so performances

Call yourself a West Ham fan?
In the last quarter of the season Boa has been one of best players!
Just proves you only watch the highlights on MOTD.

LBM made some excellent tackles last Sunday. A couple of great runs, nearly scored and laid the ball on from which the goal was scored.
Not for the first time either. He has been really good recently. It's just a shame it's taken him this long to get started. Might be something to do with his contract winding down maybe??

LOL moron! Remember that penalty against Liverpool? Remember Boa through on goal after that delicious Cole pass? Remember the free kicks conceded just outside our box against Everton, Chelsea and Villa? He was a joke against Liverpool I'm afraid. What your reply shows is that you are a sheep. I have watched Boa very closely. Brilliant pass on Sunday to release Ilunga but his overall pass completion rate since coming back into the team has been awful. He is clumsy in the tackle and his shooting...well Di Michele and LBM are competing for the Hammers "Worst In Front of Goal" Award! In fact, LBM is going for the Lifetime Award!

Shows what you know u unt you never ever go to the games so your opinion dont count. LBM has my respect and all the boys in the Cent Lower.

LBM has been one of the most improved players at UP in the 2nd half of the season. He is not a natural goalscorer but his work rate is terrific.Yes he makes mistakes but don't they all?

Anyone that thinks otherwise doesn't know much about football. You don't have to like him, but please do accept that he is improved and I for one would like to keep him at UP.

If Carlton can play for England, why not LBM for Portugal?

stop being a pessimistic old fart and support the man for once. If he were to go on and play well for Portugal what would you say then i wonder? would you say well done and ignore the fact that you slag him off after every game?

If Boa played well for Portugal I would be well hacked off. If he can do it in a Portugal shirt, why not in a West ham shirt I would ask. I doubt he will; I doubt he will even play.

TrevorH, Cole is different class from LBM, and quite a few years younger. Capello is selecting on ability AND potential. The mistakes Boa makes are in critical areas. Has ANYONE ELSE given away a penalty this season as stupid as that one Boa conceded against Liverpool?

ALL the boys in the cent lower? You have canvassed them all have you? He runs around a lot. Big deal. What is the end result? The thing is, Boa is now a pet, the high energy yappy little black terrier chasing after the ball. All you patronising sods say, "Ah, bless, look at him! Jumps for the ball, chases after the ball, trips over the ball, isn't he cute?" I can think of another four letter word featuring three of the letters in cute that would sum him up a darn sight better!

I cant believe how many people are sticking up for LBM, so what hes played average the last five games, its the other 90% im bothered about. Absolute garbage get rid. Why do so many people hate your opinion when its obviously right hammersfan?

I do apologise for the non-related post. However, I hear that recently a profoundly cynical, bigoted, narrow-minded and angry old fool on the .org made something of a disparaging remark about me. It appears that he thought it was funny. I don't quite know what it was as I don't go there anymore. However for those that may have an interest, you might be pleased to know that the bright young girl behind MrsLucasNeill is well and continues to impress at school. Of course, I'm certain many of us hope that her spelling is 'on the up' also.

Hi Bill, good to have you look in again. That is very good to hear.

Unfortunately, some of those disparaging remarks have been left on here too. I think that, because of your signing off speech, the Gang of 4 are gunning for you as much as they are ganging for me. It is all very sad. And by making these sick comments, the individual (s) are implying a tolerance in his / their own minds of the very things they claim to abhor. The behaviour he / they continue to demonstrate reveal very nasty personality traits indeed.
