Tony Gale Rates Carlton Cole Better Than Chamakh and Carroll

For two games in a row I've listened to ex Hammer Tony Gale insisting that, as a centre back, he would rather face Chamakh or Carroll than Carlton Cole.

That's all very well Tony, but who would you rather face if you were a keeper or the back of a net?

Actually, why would you be worried about facing any of them?

Well at least Fulham won last night. That's got to be good for the London area, right? Did you go to the game armchair?

I dont understand why we dont play a 4-4-2 with cole and carroll roaming around the net. I think Cole and Carroll would both benefits from the physical ability of one another. Yes cole's shooting is dog, but his physical strength is not. That would allow cole to play as what Carroll does for Nolan or vise versa. 2 is better then 1 option. I think the two of them together would be much more of a fit for Sam's play.

When we start the alone striker we leave the striker to do all the physical work, leaving nolan to score. You limit your options when doing this.

OF COURSE we would have to think about the issue of Nolan, where would he be if we started two strikers? He Probably would be right where Roy has him... not on the team.

"There were a couple of clubs interested, but when you see the size of Leeds and the magnitude of the club there's only one choice..."

On snubbing West Ham, he added: "I was on my way there but Leeds made an effort to sign me..."

Relegation.

Loving the meltdown happening at West Ham. Just a shame the author of this website won't witness it in person as he remains in hiding in Eastern Europe. God forbid he should actually support his club and attend a game this season.

Superb mate.ha ha. Keep them coming,we'll give him a breakdown.

Well being from the east end you'll be used to dodging bullets, although that would not have been the response had Warnock chose west ham instead of United. Also,i recommend using punctuation, the armchair hammer is a pedant on the subject even though he continually falls foul.

"I believe we dodge a bullet there - you are welcome to him"

That remains to be seen. What has been made clear though is that a Premiership club has been unable to secure the services of a player who instead chose to drop a division.

How you choose to deal with that kick in the teeth is up to you. What the wider footballing world see's however is not that WH got a lucky escape but that they are in such a bad place that even a Villa reject doesn't want to go there.

The author of this site takes great delight in focussing on other clubs problems. Not surprisingly when the boot is on the other foot the silence is deafening. Armchair has to read every one of these comments though so keep up the good work all those enjoying the view down the hole he has so deeply dug for himself.

True to form HF - true to form.

LOL. It's a wonder that Messi himself doesn't want to join an underachieving mid-table Championship club huh?

2013 10.10 As usual you have got it completely wrong. Warnock not being able to get into a premiership side even as poor as Aston Villa decided to take the easy life with a more inferior team in a lower division where even he might stand a chance of regular football. The effort of being able to meet the standards of performance and fitness required by West Ham United were far to much for him
