Green Preparing His Exit Strategy

So Rob Green has come out and "blasted" the attitude of the team, claiming that we have "an over inflated opinion of our ability". I must agree with his main points, that we are crap at the back, crap in midfield and crap up front at the moment but you've got to wonder at his decision to come out and say it. Is Mr Nice Guy trying to prove to Capello that he has a mean streak, something I have accused him of lacking, or is he preparing his exit strategy perhaps?

Come the summer, Green can buy his way out of his contract for £1.5m and, in his boots, I would be planning to do precisely that. Duxbury declined to negotiate a new contract when Green complained that he was one of the lowest paid players in the first team squad and Green could have his pick of Tottenham, Villa and possibly even Man Utd if he was a free agent.

By speaking his mind, of course, Green could be engineering a position where he has to leave because either he is no longer welcome in the dressing room or "for the sake of his career". Come January, the statement might well read, "I have to do what is right for my career and the club have decided to accept an offer from Tottenham rather than accept a much lower figure in the summer due to the reduced length of my contract." Wouldn't be a huge surprise would it?

So Green says what any commentator would've said about that shoddy capitulation and instead of being praised for his honesty and passion is having his loyalty questioned. I see the sh!t fountain from the last post runneth over...

lol how did I know you would buy into the mirrors story of Green buying out his contract. Tell me, when was the last time somebody bought out their contract who hadn't had a huge argument with the club or manager? Your persistance in blowing things out of proportion is irritating. He is clearly annoyed at the attitude of the team after playing a blinder himself and would like the team to play better.

One more thing, if he is one of the lowest payed players at the club, what on earth makes you think he would fork out £1.5m. Even to footballers that is alot of money.

I would imagine that you will be planning yours due to the lack of comments on this Blog.

1318, because he could then negotiate a £6 million signing fee because Man Utd, Spurs or Villa would still be getting him on the cheap. You don't know much about business do you?

LOL It's not about comments, but hits. Running at over 1000 a day. Do you speak to 1000 people each day?

No I don't know much about business, coz i'm not a business man. However, you must be more stupid then i thought if you think Tottenham or Liverpool or anybody else would give him 6million which they wouldn't have offered us for him anyway.

I think it is sad that you are mirroring what the mirror says.

To be fair you don't speak to a 1000 people a day - this is not like some great internet evangelistic pilgrimage, it's a blog that is linked to News Now!
Get over yourself at least 950 of those people must be gutted to find you speaking this crap at them... the others probably don't have the IQ to read past your tabloid bullshit and the rest are bitter kneejerkers like yourself.

And which category do you fall into? Too thick to remember that the name of this site is The Games Gone Crazy? It is clearly there on the News Now link! And News Now don't just link to any olsd site either.

Green isn't worth £6m? Don't talk rot!

Green is not worth 6 million to Tottenham, who if true, offered 4 million for Upson on the last day of deadline. And Liverpool most certainly would not bother with Green with Reina in goal.
