Lampard and Gerrard Getting In Each Other's Way For England
FFS, how many times does it have to be said? How many games have to be played before the idiots who manage England wake up to the truth? Me and the Three Monkeys have said it until we are claret and blue in the face, Lampard and Gerrard can't play together in midfield - they are too similar and get in each other's way!
Look at tonight! Tonight, one or the other could have had a hat-trick but, by playing both together, Capello denied each the sort of glory that Hurst basks in. Each got two and both must be seething that the glorious third goal was denied them by the other stealing their thunder. You're not telling me that Gerrard wouldn't have tucked away the penalty or that Lampard wouldn't have buried Gerrard's second! What a travesty! If Parker had been playing, you can bet your life that either Gerrard or Lampard would have had the opportunity to score three!
That idiot Hammersfan struck a bet in December on Newcastle being relegated and England winning the World Cup. He staked £20, hoping for a payout of £1200. No chance! So what that we are the leading scorers in European qualification so far, so what that we were in a difficult group and have won every game so far, so what that Croatia reached the quarter finals of the last Euros and yet we have beaten them 9-2 on aggregate over two legs, so what that we scored 5 tonight without Heskey or Rooney playing particularly well, so what that Rio Ferdinand, David James, Owen Hargreaves and Joe Cole were absent through injury, so what that we now have cover for every position except right back, so what that we should have scored ten tonight, so what that Croatia only had one chance and scored from a Green error, so what that Capello is a winner...we stand NO CHANCE of winning the World Cup with Gerrard and Lampard getting in each other's way. Hammersfan is a Spud Twat who knows nowt about football!

Green error???
Yep, should have held the second shot I'm afraid, and he and Capello know it. Johnson also at fault again.
I wouldn't say Johnson was at fault for the goal, he was in his correct defensive position & the cross got past him, it happens! He did almost give a peno away, yes, & a few other small discrepancies which I'm sure, between Rafa & Fabio, will be ironed out in time for S.A..!
It happens too consistently. Johnson allows too much space for the player to cross. He needs to close quicker rather than inviting the cross by standing more than five yards off his man.
Green shouldn't have been allowed to make that thing you call a mistake. He parried the ball as far away from the goal as possible and probably overestimated the power of the rebound. I blame the defence.
I hope fannies like you don't criticise Green or any other West Ham player for that matter whenever possible. Let us concentrate on why Heskey should be on the bench! or perhaps you should dedicate a story on Upson being a cool customer in defence, after all, you would have written a book if he had made a mistake.
Green error???? Deane and fanno, are you two one and the same by any chance? You must have shit in your eyes or something, he pulled off a fantastic double save and was unlucky not to make it a treble FFS. You are being far too critical and downright picky as it was Glenn Johnson that should've never put Green in that position in the first place. As a West Ham and a football fan, I feel quite offended that you take such a view. Green error, my arse!!!
Double save from Green = Error.
Righto.
Taking off the Claret & Blue specs for a second yes he should have held it the second shot, but a minor error compared to the lack of defensive positioning that lead to it all.
I think to call it an error is overly harsh and looking to find a negative from a good night.
As for the rest of it I assume this is one of your 'ironic' articles or attempts at humour.
That's very harsh on Green. It was hardly an error but I do agree that he could have done better with the second save.
To be fair though he had just made a great save low to his left from the initial header and was trying to get back into position after jockeying the player following up.
It took Croatia three attempts in that little sequence to beat him so he did well to keep it the ball out for as long as he did. The defence shouldn't have allowed the initial header in the first place and where nowhere to be seen with both of the follow up shots.
Hardly an error and vaguely or at best, partially his fault.
Oh and I'm a Spurs fan by the way so no rose tinted glasses here.
My view of it was Green made an excellent save did superbly to even get near the second and his defence were too static and gave him no cover somebody should have cleared long before the 2nd shot came in let alone the third
The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity.
Your alter ego, Pass Shitout is right - you are a twat that knows nowt about football.
You harp on about the three wise monkeys when takimg a swipe at the org, but if someone sees all evil, hears all evil and speaks all evil, what does that make that person then, eh?
Very good Dux, but the hole in that argument is that, as Lee Vitout pointed out, I have been arguing the positives of the England team for a long time now, unlike Grumpy and the other dwarfs over at the org. The Three Monkeys are not all caged over at the org by the way, some swing through other trees!
Which orgster are you?
dear me Dux I think my comment was in support of Green as I question the error as in Green error???? question marks indicating what error
You're absolutely right there Deane, I realised my error after posting. I think that we're all entitled to be a plonker every now and then and my reply was early in the morning, maybe I should allow myself a bit more time to wake up before posting, lol. Fanno, how does my criticism of your criticism make me an orgster as you put it then?
