Tell Toshak To Take A Running Jump
Remember when Bellyache managed to fit in an appearance for Wales in between two extended periods of absence due to injury? It was galling, to say the least, that a player scrapping with Dyer and Ashton for the cosiest table in the treatment room at West Ham, could suddenly roll up his death bed and run around on the international stage for Wales. I well remember West Ham's reluctance to let him join up with Wales at that time and it was so surprise to anybody when he promptly booked back into the treatment room upon his return to his employers.
Now we have Toshak complaining that Gabbidon's match fitness is not what he wants it to be. It seems we haven't given the guy enough playing time to please the fat Taff in charge. Well how bloody disgraceful is that? How utterly despicable of Zola and Clarke! Well, if Gabbidon is not match fitch, how did he get through 120 minutes against Millwall and why is he with the Welsh squad in the first place? After reading Toshak's comments, somebody from West Ham should put through a call and instruct him not to select Gabbidon. The game is a dead rubber anyway because Wales are not going to South Africa are they?
Is it just me, or do others agree that Toshak is a legend in his own mind who hasn't really achieved that much as a manager? He is certainly living on past glories!

Never liked Toshak, always talked a good game. He took up the post of Wales manager, not as a proud Welshman (second time around) but as a manager that had been found out and it was his only option. He's playing at being Mr Big, but the truth is, he's had his day and he's a tired manager of a minor international side, making silly statements in the minor press to anyone who cares to listen to him.
I remember the way he called on Bellamy when he was with us and an international manager, where there is a need to be diplomatic, he simply has no understanding of the word..... IDIOT!
What a load of nonsense. John Toshack said before the game that Danny was not match fit - nobody's fault - and he was not sure whether he ought to risk a 60% Danny or try a 100% leek. He also appreciated that it would be good for WHU if Danny could get some time on the pitch helping with his reintroduction to the top flight after 20 months away with a very difficult problem. I say 'Thanks, John' for this one. Danny Gabbidon is an excellent player. Bellarse is still a right t**t.
