No Home Spark For QPR Again

Another home game, and more vital, vital points lost. To reach 38 points, I identified today's home game as one of three crucial home fixtures, including the matches against Stoke and Swansea, that QPR HAD to win. With two more vital points surrendered, it means that one of the games against Arsenal and Spurs now have to be won. And that isn't likely given QPR have only won twice at home all season - beating 9 man Chelsea luckily, and against bottom of the table Wigan.

The game at Bolton isn't just important now, it will decide QPR's fate. With West Brom beating Chelsea today, that fixture looks increasingly more difficult and does anybody really fancy the Hoops at Sunderland? As for the trips to Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea, well, only the most optimistic R would expect anything from those games! So actually, it is beginning to look like a struggle to make it to 34points, with a win at Bolton and victories at home to Stoke and Swansea essential to make it to that most modest of targets. Even then, two draws are needed from a clutch of challenging fixtures.

Still Zamora scored today and a point is better than none. The secret to QPR's survival is the appalling form of their rivals. Wigan's loss today was huge and Blackburn's home draw with Villa was useful too. It's likely to come down to a shoot out between the teams at the bottom, and the problem is, QPR only play one team in the bottom five - and that's next week at Bolton! Lose that, and QPR will be in the bottom three because Wolves play Blackburn. And once there, climbing back out again is going to be viciously difficult.

So it's shit or bust next week at Bolton. Anybody's money on QPR to win it?

Im pretty happy with a point to be honest, and the atmosphere was a lot more positive which will play a key role in our survival chances. Even Barton had a good game.

Well good to see that "Tram" still rolling on towards the Premiership!! We know what it's like to be staring relegation in the face but no need to be bitter!!
