Just as I predicted, Leeds overturned league leaders Crystal Palace this afternoon. The result was always on the cards after the surge in optimism following the takeover, and with two new players joining the squad and seeking to salvage their careers.
With Middlesborough, Hull, Huddersfield and Blackburn all losing, this could prove to be a red letter day for Leeds come the end of the season. Millwall won, and may yet offer a surprise challenge, but Watford and Blackpool shared the points and so did Brighton and Bolton.
Not everything can go right of course, so the Leicester, Cardiff and Forest victories - all away from home - represent a blow to Warnock's dreams of securing automatic promotion. But in this crap division, the play off places remain absolutely wide open.
As I said before the game, Palace are no great shakes so Leeds fans should not get carried away but I hope you guys followed my tip and cashed in on what I termed one of the bets of the season. So much for me knowing sod all about football!
