Time For West Ham Fans To Show Their Class

After the shame of White Hart Lane, it's time for West Ham fans to show their class. One thing is guaranteed: even though the game is in the North West and even though we are virtually guaranteed to be on the wrong end of a tonking, West Ham fans will show up in numbers, singing their hearts out and backing the team no matter what the score.

Whereas the home fans are fickle and turn far too easily on the players, the away supporters have developed thick skins and almost revel in masochistic agony. When not spouting vile invective, the passion is a joy to behold and an example to many.

Do we stand a cat in hell's chance? It is bloody hard to make a case for anything other than a three goal reverse at best. Rooney, Van Persie, Hernandes...ok, the Mancs are weak at the back but will we ever get the ball down the other end to exploit that? Long lumped balls to Carroll are not going to trouble Man Utd any more than they troubled Spurs.

Still, Noble's critics will be hoping that we suddenly play like Barcelona and prove that all the stats suggesting he is our best player are wrong!

Noble is our best player, HF?

Most completed passes, most completed tackles, highest percentage of completed passes, most ground covered - the stats suggest he is Stani.

"West Ham fans to show their class"

Make the assumption that that class exists in West Ham fans?, can this be proven?

Your fans are "an example to many"....jesus, which planet are you on? totally delusional

Panicking about playing Manure?
Thought it was 11 v 11?

You may have a chance if you get a goal from a set piece and hang on for dear life...

Leeds won there last time we played them....

Grow a pair you southern softie

Is Noble our best player, HF?

I'll take that as a 'no' :)

Personally, I would call Nolan our best player so far this season based on goals scored. I would call Noble our second best player Stani, based on performances, appearances etcetera. Jarvis hasn't done it consistently yet, Yossi has underperformed, Diame is in and out, Carroll hasn't been scoring...

So you're not separating the vile racist scum from your away support then? "When not spouting vile invective their passion is a joy to behold"? So instead of the life bans you called for, these creatures are ok as long as they show passion? You've dropped yourself RIGHT in it now. Any normal genuine fan would separate the two. YOU ARE A RACIST and you've just condoned sundays behaviour.

HF notice how apart from Noble none of our players seem to be able to complete a pass to our players.

The fact we are not like Barcelona has nothing to do with whether Noble plays or not. If you want to make such a comparison, you would perhaps have noticed that we a lot more solid and secure as team without Mr. PR in the team. That was evident tonight as well. That is, for anyone who wanted to see.

To become like Barcelona we need a Messi, an Iniesta, a Xavi and another 8 such players at least. But most of all, we need another manager with a totally different football mentality than the one Sam has about football.

Another defeat for the mighty spammers!

...at least another 5 goals to come ?

Stick to what ever it is that you actually know. But as it is West Ham, the five goals you crave will probably come from Chelski. That's the West ham way - no two games the same. Pluses - Maiga, Demel, Jussi.
As for Wets Ham being the only racists, you obviously don't live in 21st century Ingerland; they are all over the place, along with the humans who also live here, you Berkeley....

Sav, please don't take my hyperbole so literally! What you can't deny is that Noble would have retained the ball better than any of our midfield tonight. Yes we looked solid, Tomkins did a good job, but Noble would have made us more solid than Diame did, and would have passed the ball far better.

I agree with you that Diame can hugely improve his passing. But please, Noble for Diame would have been a real disaster last night, and any other day.

Noble gives the ball away, he gets pushed off the ball as feather and I am sure with Noble in Diame's place last night we would have conceded at least 3 more goals.
