So now Duxbury is telling us how it really is, undergoing some wonderful conversion on the road to Damascus. Apparently the thrice delayed accounts are a "disaster", just as you were warned on this blog. At the time, of course, the club, and CEO Duxbury in particular, were claiming that there was nothing to be worried about and angry fans came on here insisting that there were perfectly valid reasons for the delayed accounts, which had nothing to do with masking the truth. Well I will let you in on a little secret, if somebody is a liar who uses propaganda, you can NEVER trust what he says. Goebbels, Blair, Duxbury - once you base your life on deceit and versions of the truth, you lose sight on what is actually meant by the word, truth.
Duxbury is currently on a charm offensive, trying to convince us fans that he is the good guy. That is cobblers. Duxbury is at the heart of this mess, he is the bridge from the troubled waters of the Brown era to the perfect storm of the Turds and Egg interregnum. He appears to me to be a slime bag who negotiates his own position first and then worries about the club later. And, from where I am standing, he has orchestrated a concerted campaign of misinformation.
Let me remind you that back in January he insisted that the club was in rude financial health, claiming there was no need to sell players and that there were funds available for transfers. Bellyache left but that was Bellyache's choice, it was NOT because the club needed the money. Now he tells us, "The accounts were a disaster; we've had absolute Hell. We've had the owner going bankrupt, XL ... it's been an absolute disaster. We've had massive pressure from the banks. The collapse of our various partners and owner coincided obviously with the banking world just being absolutely destroyed." Tell me, how do you marry what was said in January with what is being said now?
Duxbury now claims: "When Eggert came in we embarked on a massive player acquisition programme. It's not just the transfer fees, it was the salaries that were given. And all of this, we didn't know, was bank funded - it wasn't owner funded. Then the banking world collapses and they said 'we want our money back'. Fantastic." Is he really expecting us to believe that the Board of West Ham was so naive that it did not know how expenditure was being funded? In which case, the Board were incompetent and they should go, every single one of them - including Duxbury.
Of course he knew how the transfers and salaries were being funded. The guy may be a Machiavellian shiester but he isn't an idiot. Now we are being told how wonderful it is to sign players on loan rather than buy them outright. It is great for "cashflow" we are told. Well, here's a thought, selling players is even better for cashflow so expect a couple of sales sometime soon. Of course Duxbury will then present it differently - it will be because the figure offered, based upon the age of the player, made it impossible to refuse and it will be in line with the "West Ham project" and a clear predetermined transfer policy. It is interesting and significant that of all the transfer deals that Duxbury could have quoted, he picked the Upson deal. Why? Surely Ljungberg or Dyer would have been better examples of mismanagement? So why Upson? Is it the spadework ahead of the deal, laying the foundations for the charm offensive that will follow when Upson is moved on?
Duxbury appears to me to be the very worst sort of 'manager' - he is embroiled in the Tevez affair and is a key figure in all the bad decision making at the club, yet he wriggles away to avoid any personal blame, pointing the finger at others instead. We are in this mess at least in part because of Duxbury but he is painting himself as the white knight and loads of mugs are buying it. We have our cast of villains at Upton Park - the Inces, Defoes, Bellyaches, Lampards, Browns, Eggerts, Roeders and Macaris, but I suspect the true Claret and Blue Antichrist is still tucked up very cosily at the club. If you believe what Duxbury says, more fool you.

I see by the times of your most recent posts here and elsewhere, that you haven't had much sleep ~ sounds like you got out of the wrong side of the bed. Love this line from you it's a classic ~ "once you base your life on lies you lose sight on what is actually meant by the word, truth."
Yeah, back late from a party but had my eight hours. Haven't posted elsewhere.
wow and there was me thinking I was alone in the world duxberry is looking after no-one other than no1 he's in a very well paid pos and he's hanging in there by fair means or foul Terry Brown murdered our club selling a golden generation for his own greed and his chief henchman is still there smarming his way through
Have you got anything good or positive to say about West Ham? Cos if you have, then I have never read it. You're a little bit like that rmoore bloke on the Org, conspiracies and skullduggary everywhere. Man, you should take a wander outside of your basement from time to time and you might realise that the world is not that bad a place even if there are quite a few social injustices.
If you are going to quote content from elsewhere it's generally good manners to name your sources. This comes from KUMB.com's interview with Scott Duxbury - I'm sure they'd appreciate a nod.
Despite what duxbury is in your opinion, he fills fans with much optimism (including myself), and gives us something to be excited about for a change.
To me it seems as if he's genuine, and is a dedicated servant to the club which is what we really need.
I may be a fool in your opinion, but as long as we play good football, remain financially ok, and are bringing in quality players, should we worry if duxbury is 'sexing up' his interviews?
It sounds to me like he has the club at heart whether he keeps his cards close to his chest or not. Now that he got Zola and Clarke in things are looking good, the future looks bright. So how about you get on board instead of whinging like a little girl. Plus even if he did talk crap it wouldn't be half as bad as the crap you read on sites like this.
you are such a retard
LOL I KNOW there is no real comparison but you guys do remind me of the Germans in the 1930's. "If this Hitler guy gives us jobs for the Germans and gives us back our pride, then..." Instead of looking at what Duxbury says, look at what he has DONE. Now I know you don't want to see the truth but the fact is that over the last 12 months we have generated more from transfer sales than we have spent and we are presently in stalled contract negotiations with Green whilst rumours persist about Upson leaving. Duxbury said in January that there were no financial worries; now we learn about near disaster. Square that circle if you can!
I rarely visit this site due to the negative comments made about our club. Over the last couple of months there has been a lot of POSITIVE things happening at West Ham, this is sue to a good Management team and better backroom staff, and a belief that the club is now 'TOGETHER' and working as one. We paly a better style of football, and for once we are being told what has actually happened at our great club. So I urge all West Ham supporters to start believing and back the team big time as the majority already do. I'm grateful I can post this on your site, but this will be the last visit I make. In future I will visit the sites of true West Ham supporters who have the club at heart.
You Schiester now you allude that West Ham fans are Nazi's. Where does it end with you for Christ sakes?
You continue to bring disgrace & embarrassment on West Ham United and to its great fans with this post. Hang your head in shame
0839, no I do not, I compare the West Ham fans who have replied here to the "Germans" who believed the Nazis. There is a BIG difference. Hitler was NEVER elected by the majority of Germans but, sadly, far too many Germans believed the propaganda once he was in power. That did not make them Nazis, but it did make them fools! To be stupid is not the same as being evil.
So now we're stoopid Nazi's
So NewsNow have added a second tier for West Ham newsfeeds. One for credible news sources and a second for dross like this blog from 'All Sources' (basically any saddo with a PC).
Almost as if you've been relegated from the PL to fizzy stuff...
