Capello Announces End Of Beckham's International Career On ITV!

I do hope to God that Capello has spoken to Beckham first! I'm not arguing with the decision not to use Beckham again, but the way in which Capello announced his "Thank you but goodbye" on TV tonight was nothing short of disgraceful.

Now Beckham is not Bobby Moore and I understand the resentment caused by all his caps gained as a substitute but, love him or hate him, you have to admire the guy's patriotism and desire to play football for his country. His recent visit to Afghanistan shows the measure of the man. He didn't have to go, he chose to risk his life to shake the hands of the troops, something I can't ever see the likes of Terry, Gerrard, Lampard or Cole doing.

Beckham deserved much more than a stupid smile and a "Thank you and goodbye" from our clown of a manager. The guy is emerging as the most arrogant, insensitive oaf. Asked earlier about his biggest mistake at the World Cup, Capello replied, "Everybody made mistakes" but failed to identify one of his own. He then blamed the disallowed Lampard "goal" for our exit! Perhaps he made so many cock ups he didn't know where to start! But then, looking at tonight's line up, he doesn't seem to think he made many. Except, of course, Rooney is up front on his own - something the whole nation was calling for before the Germany game!

If Beckham now comes out and says that Capello hadn't spoken to him, then the F.A. need to step in and sack the manager.
