Green In The International Wilderness
It seems that Capello does not forgive easily. After his disastrous gaffe in the game against the USA, Green has been unceremoniously dumped from the England squad. Never mind "England's Number Six", I reckon Rob is now England's number 666 as far as Fabio is concerned. Least favourite colour Fabio? Green. What colour do you associate with sickness Fabio? Green. How do you like your turf Fabio? Brown side up!
Meanwhile, there's no room for Mr West Ham, Scotty Parker either. It seems that even now, Fabio doesn't think the £15million man is up to international football. Of course, that might suggest something to Parker fans, and I don't mean that Fabio is part of an FA conspiracy against West Ham! If anybody offers £12million for Parker, we should grab the money and run!
But Carlton is back! That should please the section of the Upton Park crowd who rate Cole as highly as Mido! Again, that might give reason to stop and think for a moment!
The squad is interesting. No Crouch, no Lennon and no Defoe. Has Capello got the 'ump with 'Arry or is this some sort of FA help for Tottenham's Champions League bid?
Wright-Phillips is on the scrap heap and Joe Cole may be Liverpool's not so big white hope but Fabio clearly doesn't rate him. Hart, Wilshire, Gibbs, Walcott, Adam Johnson and Ashley Young are the new generation to take us forward to the next World Cup it seems. That's all very well but of that lot, only Young is likely to start more than 20 games this season. Is the cupboard THAT bare?
But well done to Zammo! Who would have believed that he would play for England when he was at West Ham? Well, Championship Manager actually. Those guys do know their stuff!
