Remy Flies Home From Stoke In A State Of Shock

Quoted in L'Euipe, Loic Remy said of his trip to Stoke: "C'est terrible là-bas. J'ai entendu l'anglais était de l'écume mais je n'ai pas su qu'ils étaient si mauvais!"

"J'ai vu le Stoke l'équipe qui entraîne et c'était néolithique. Nous avons arrêté jouant le football aime qui en France dans le dix-neuvième siècle!"

"La nourriture dégoûtait, les maisons étaient des taudis, le centre de ville a été détérioré et le pire c'était les femmes. Ils sont tout massif et laid!"

For those of you who don't speak French - so that's the whole of Stoke - he was not impressed! But then again, don't trust me, something may have got lost in translation! ; }

"Ils sont tout massif et laid!" - now that, Mr HF, is genuinely roll around the floor funny.
So, he's coming back next week to discuss matters with 'another' EPL club eh?
Part of me hopes it's us, some of me hopes it isn't! Is this guy the new Messi? Appears to be behaving as though he thinks he is something very special indeed. Well, if it means the departure of Cole, I'd say leave it. If he's an addition, then fine - welcome.
Somehow I am beginning to feel that this transfer will never happen anyway.
HF, my French ain't great but I did manage to get most of your humour there and enjoyable it was too!

I've been to Stoke mate and I won't be going back in a hurry! Not after that post anyway!

HF, why do you let anonymous psters on here? I just think it does nothing but add to it's negativity! It allows other blog owners *who have probably lost a few very good bloggers) to come on and slate your members who actually want to contribute :)

Now by all means, tell me where to go if you don't agree with what I am saying (I'm ver sued to that :)) but (and I KNOW it adds to your post count) don't you think your blog would be a nice place without all the csum that insult you and I and others?

I'm sure that the chickenshits that post under the anon tag woudln't post if they had to show us who they are! It just reeks of the thumbs up/down section of another nblog I once saw!

ANyway, yeah I know - If I don't like it, I know what I can do.....

Matt, read the endorsement from Tom in the right hand panel (in red). They aint insulting me or you, they are making themselves look idiotic. They don't know me or you so how can they insult us? I find their contributions amusing at times and mildly tiresome at others but, if that's what they get off on then it is no skin off my nose. Some anonymous contributions are actually very good. They come from people who look in on the off chance and wish to add sensibly to the debate.

I guess we can't have it all ways. Dale wants to police his site, I don't want to police mine - I believe in freedom of speech - for me, for you and yes for Mr Anonymous. The insults are water off a duck's back as far as I'm concerned. I'm getting under their skin obviously, they certainly are not getting under mine. So who is the prat on that basis?

I hope you stick around mate but I'm not about to change the rules of the site anytime soon I'm afraid. I just love seeing my detractors vent their fury in a pathetic demonstration of how much I have bettered them!

And even now they will continue to display their stupidity! You've got to love them!

Matt Ryan said...

Ahhhhh now! I never actually suggested that you change the site :) I actually was wondering why you allow the anon! You site mate, your rules. Just that you seem to attract a hell of a lot of idiots and to me it would kinda detract from the good posts and I would like to see who is slagging me off :)

But like I said, no one is suggesting you change anything, just wondering why :)

"The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." Oscar Wilde, I believe.

Did you see Remy and his agent on SSN. Hysterical. Remy, who admitted his Ebglish isn't great, implored his agent to speak on his behalf to the baying hacks. If anything, the agent's English appeared to be inferior! Transfer windows, dont ya just love em?

Headmaster said...

Oh God - doubtless some 'anon' will come on now and point out that I spelt 'English' as 'Ebglish'

This site cracks me up, it does get a bit near the mark some times but i always keep a keen eye on it.As an expat now living in Australia i miss the daily newspapers in the Uk so miss out on all the football banter that runs of the press daily and find this site gives me back the amusement i have so sorely missed. Keep it going. Thanks

Pardon my ignorance but is this real or just your great sense of humour?

Sounds outrageous and I can't believe a professional footballer would say that even though it's the truth!

Stani Army said...

And to be honest HF, I for one certainly enjoy seeing you take them on. I think many other owners of blogs just ban it because they don't have the wit to do likewise. Just imagine Dale had to handle a fraction of the shite you do!!!

It's between Sulemanji and Remy for West Ham. The latter is likely to cost us about 3 times as much (and I don't see how we could finance such a deal). So my prediction is Sulemanji or no-one. Unless we see a biggy (such us Parker, Upson, Cole, e.t.c.). I am sure Remy prefers London to Stoke. But the issue is not that. It is whether West Ham can afford to buy him without selling anyone and whether there is an adequate and cheaper alternative available to us, such as Sulemanji.

Stani, that visual image of Mr Dale was very unwelcome!

Let's try no anonymous for a week and see how it goes HF - I strongly suspect it would have a profound and positive effect on the blog... you can always go back if it doesn't work - personally I can't see what the negatives would be.

Anonymous said...

Trust me stani he handles a lot more shite than HF could ever imagine...

Anonymous said...

Is it me or is Headmaster just a bore? seems to be behaving himself at the moment.... but how long will it be before he has a WHTID style hissy fit?

Hammersfan said...

Keep trying 1002, keep trying. Haven't you got something better to do though?

Stani Army said...

I'm sure you're used to it HF!

;) I wouldn't put it beyond HF's imagination!

Matt - Hammersflan posts a lot of rubbish on his site and he knows it prompts the anons to have a go at him and the site. The reason he puts up with it? it gives him the attention he craves and the power to delete posts that he doesn't like.

Just look at the number of Parker related articles a week or so ago.... mostly rubbish and all posted to tempt ANY responses which hammersflan thrives upon.

This site would die a quick death without anons.

Hammersfan said...

Thus speaks Anon! And you don't even see the irony! Stupid or what?

Anonymous said...

I read both this site and Iain dales and both have there credits excpet for the stupid slagging of from this one about his i see it as pretty pathetic kind of chirlish so tend to ignore the comments section but i like some of the posts the more west ham forums the better i say

You should comment. The more we comment the more the silly comments will get lost in the background.

Hammersfan said...

I agree 1345. There's space for lots of West Ham blog sites.
