I'm not going to say much other than there is one hell of a deal making gap between £10 million and £30million! Sullivan seems to think that £10million is toppy for Parker given his words, "EVEN if a club offered £10m". So if the bid were £12million or £15million? I think we have evidence now of some wriggle room! And anyway, Parker can go next year! Would we really reject a £15million bid for the sake of one season? How stupid would that be?

Parker still has 3 years left on his current contract and is currently discussing extending it another two years.

I would never keep a player at the club if they didnt want to be there (like fabregas). The club is bigger than any player, so if he wants to go let him go, as long as we get decent money for him. But until he states his desire to leave, then we should keep him unless silly money was offered.

Well that's that then, it's as clear as day from that ES article that Parker is DEFINITELY leaving this transfer window.
You can see the all the tell tale signs...
1) Sullivan doesn't want to sell him.
2) Parker hasn't asked to leave.
3) No one has bid anywhere near the level that would even interest Sullivan to consider him leaving.
4) He's almost 30 and no club in their right mind (especially a top 4 or big club) would bid £10M or above for an injury prone player of that age.
But yes, as you keep saying HF, all the signs are clearly pointing to him being sold.

Just read that Capello left it to Baldini to call Beckham after announcing the end of his international career on live national TV. What a disgrace.
I'm not saying that Beckham deserves a a place in the squad, in fact I don't but love him or loath him, Beckham has always given his all for the national team. Unlike other players, he always make himself available for his country if selected. No matter what his age, location or condition.
It's no wonder the England team were all over the place at the WC. Not speaking proper English is bad enough (I'd certainly learn Italian rapidamente for £6m a year!) but basic 'one to one' communication skills is surely a must.
Scholes made it clear that had Capello called him directly that he would have thought more carefully about returning to the squad. Also, should he not have enough contact with his players or even basic research to know that they don't want to be selected (Robinson and Wes Brown). Does he not even sound these players out before formally selecting them?
I'm amazed that a main of his pedigree can make such basic mistakes. Maybe it's just plain arrogance and that he expects to be able to dictate who does what and when.
Those days appear to be long gone in modern football, players make a regular point nowadays of showing who makes the decisions for their careers. Ironically, Beckham is a bit old school and one of the few that still shows 100% respect for management - shame it isn't reciprocated by Capello.
Based on his record, Capello is quite clearly an excellent manager in the right environment but he seems to be completely misplaced with our national team.
I agree mate. Said this on the night of the Hungary game. I think he should be sacked. Give the job to Beckham. He now speaks English almost as well as Capello!
I know it sounds far fetched but for some reason I've got a feeling that one day (well into the future) Beckham would make a good Manager, especially for Man U or England.
He's not a stupid man (as many people would have you believe) and his combined experience and passion for the game are rare traits.
Silly money would be around the 15million mark. Players like Sessegnon from PSG are in a different class completely and would probably be alot cheaper than that figure. We have options if we do sell him, Behrami in there and use money on an aattck minded midfielder.
Parker's going to sign a new deal next week.
