It seems that the one thing that works on Dyer's body is his... well ok, three other things work if you believe the Sunday papers but I was thinking of his mouth! This is the guy who has had more comebacks than influenza and here he is, before a single minute of competitive action, talking about his new, improved fitness levels! What a pillock!
Has he never heard of the phrase "tempting fate"? Or is that his game? Exhausting business playing 90 minutes of football (which Dyer STILL hasn't managed for West Ham) and the weather can be pretty nasty through the winter. So, have the usual pre season run out and then...ouch! Hamstring! Double ouch! Groin! Triple ouch! Shin splints! Quadruple ouch! Ankle ligaments! Quintuple ouch! Back strain...Surely it's about time Dyer suffered from bed sores!
Dyer should keep his gob shut and preserve his energy. This is the final season of his mega contract so he really needs to squeeze in a few games if his earnings are not going to stop altogether. Although, wouldn't it be typical if he left us on a free next June, joined Tottenham on a pay when you play basis, and then played every game, scoring a shed load of goals into the bargain?
