The fury is understandable - he didn't get where he is today by backing losers - but probably unwise. It is the manager's job to make these sorts of comments, it is the job of the chairman to keep his trap shut and back his manager.
Will Joey Barton respond? Fernandes says he wants fighters, so perhaps Joey will invite him to a face to face - literally - meeting in an alley off Loftus Road? I would love a ticket for that! And Anton should be there. He would probably hear Joey say a few things that might make him question who is the more evil, John Terry or the man who wears the club's armband!
Mind you, I agree with Fernandes on one thing - or rather he agrees with me! What have I been saying about the failure to recruit a captain for the back four and the goal keeper issue? QPR need a spine alright, and with eight mediocre defenders to pick from, and a keeper who isn't really Premiership quality, they don't have one.
The trouble is spines are expensive - really expensive. And Fernandes' commitment to QPR is limited. He grabbed the headlines with two mediocre strikers, it's a shame he didn't invest in a no nonsense, unglamourous defender or two.

For once,I agree with you. We needed to spend on a goalie & a solid centreback. Samba (Chris) would have been that guy. No command anywhere on the pitch, no genuine leader to lift the troops after conceeding. And we look nowhere near Premiership quality going forward either. Drop Barton, let him play with his cellphone on the bench. Hard times ahead, confident we will survive though, or you will have nothing to write about next season.
Yep, couldn't agree with you more. I read these posts with equal amount of mirth and belligerence alike but you've nailed it this time. I think it is time we Rangers fans accept that the travelling circus that is QPR will be heading south at the end of the season. It would've been more understandable if we'd found ourselves 3 - 0 at the hands of city or united, but Blackburn? A fellow struggler. Did we smash Wolves 3 - 0???? No, so it appears we haven't the heart or stomach (or both) for life in the Premiership. Harsh, but sadly true....

Keep it up HF I love the honesty about our team that just won't come from a QPR blog! Its time the fans who have only been around for approx 16-17 years are made to realise we were a billion per cent better than this once and at the moment it just doesn't look as though we will ever be as good again.
We buy players who just can't cut it in the big time and you get performances like the first half v Blackburn!! We needed our West Ham supporter owner to put his hand in his pocket PROPERLY otherwise just move to a Championship side where his money would count!! Oh hold on he may as well stay because thats where we will probably be next season with his beloved West Ham!!

I fully agree with Fernandes voicing his observations.They will be a much milder version of Hughes'views which he shared with the team at half-time.
HF do you expect him to be his normal upbeat self, after the first half disgrace? As you are aware
he favours contact with fans, and
when asked, responds honestly-good or bad,which we appreciate.
On the other hand;
'The four year plan' an award winning 'must see' documentary, contains shocking footage of QPR managers being undermined.
There is now a two week break, in which the manager will have time to
work on the shambolic defence, and implement tough training sessions- which will reveal a lot about the players character and desire.He will soon know who he can rely on...People like Mackie.
I remain positive despite the negatives.
Should be interesting, I see a lot of similarities between QPR challenge and WHU's fight against the drop last year. Kept thinking we had too many good players to go down and think the same of QPR. However, I was wrong about hammers and not looking good for QPR (although I think Hughes is a miles better manager than Grant so this could save hoops)
