Parker booking a warning for England

For all his excellent reviews, question marks still hang over Scott Parker. Tottenham fans are raving about the man they never really wanted, just like they are raving over a manager they were loath to see appointed, but yesterday's booking showed why the former "Mr West Ham" may do to England's European Championship chances what Green did to our World Cup bid.

Did anybody else notice the foul that bought Parker his yellow card?

Why? Why would a player do that? Just outside the box, full view of the referee, Scotty elected to go through the back of a Newcastle player, conceding a ridiculous free kick in the process. If this was a one off, fair enough, but time and again he did the self same thing in Claret & Blue, giving the opposition wonderful opportunities to score.

Parker was lucky this time because Friedel pulled off a good save from the free kick, but top internationals will find the top corner, out of reach of the keeper. For some reason, this is in Parker's game and until somebody sits him down and tells him to cut it out, he will always be an accident waiting to happen. And at international level, one accident is all it takes, as Green can confirm.

Goal and assist count so far for Scotty in Tottenham colours? One assist, no goals. Sadly, England don't have Van der Vaart, Bale, and Modric to compliment Parker in midfield!

This is absurd. Your inability to let Parker go is really disturbing. I'm serious.

He plays for spurs and he is brilliant.

What's the point of this article?? Are you still bitter he left for spurs?? He covers the pitch like no one in the premiership, and has been consistent for the last 2-3 seasons.
Every player from time to time give away free kicks. What a muppet u are!

Your a div.... know nothing about Football and should stop writing immediately. Judging last years Footballers writer player of the year on one tackle is embarrassing on your part. He would 100% be one of if not the most committed and passionate player on the pitch if he went to the euros. Your obviously a 14 year old Arsenal fan that as no future or a bitter and twisted Chelsea fan that is still worshiping their very own racist scumbag captain..... What a joke of a read this really was!!!

Yes, I did notice and thought about you straight away. Not the nicest of experiences.

The baffling thing is, with some of those challenges, there's no chance of getting the ball unless you go through the man, yet he still does them.

Bitter and twisted lol

Concentrate on your shit club and the shit brand of anti-football you're playing rather than continuing this rather homoerotic obsession with Scott Parker. He left you for a bigger and better club. Move on.

It is a bit of a problem, but hey, name an English holding midfielder who doesn't do that on a semi-regular basis. Hargreaves? crocked. Barry? Immobile, immovably so. Rodwell? Same as Parker. So it's just something England will have to live with, and I think it's a minor drawback considering all his other magnificent attributes. By focusing on his attacking stats, you miss the point. Still, reasonable read-up, and a decent point made, if not overly so.

Obviously written by a very bitter and jealous West Ham fan. Perhaps you are right, you know Mr, Charlton, Newcastle, Chelsea and Oh yes West Ham has now found his true home to display his undoubted talents. Still probably not good enough and a liabilty for England. What are you on.. Numpty.

well said, all true baz. ps harry not the man for england.

Sour grapes.....
Pathetic

this is a rediculous post, parker is a top player wherever he plays, and spurs fans were delighted to see him join

The fact that 90% of the time he attempts it he gets and walks away with the ball does not matter I guess?

WOW, WHAT A HYSTERICAL REACTION! Was the tackle stupid? Yes. Did it nearly lead to a goal? Yes. Was it out of character? Sadly no.

Are West Ham still in the Championship? Yes...

Didn't nearly lead to a goal. The wall blocked it... here are the facts we know.... Did Newcastle score from the free kick in question... No... Is Parker the cog in the engine that as made Spurs what they are... yes... Is he the current football writers player of the year? yes... Are all of the top teams in the PREM gutted they didn't get him? yes.... Will he go to the euros and play for England? yes 100% will he continue to keep on getting man of the match awards whilst playing for them? probably and will he be captain.... PROBABLY.... What is the point of your post and more importantly what is the point of you??? Move on son!!!

OMG!! After Keane(MU), & some of the real DMC butchers(anyone remember Smith of Liverpool? Greaves couldn't walk after one match and when asked why said:"smithie still has my legs") the PL & the old Div1 have had, you write trash like this.

Parker is not an inherently dirty player unlike some and even when he played for WHU he proved this.

I know that you post ridiculous comments to get a THFC rush at your site but sometimes you just need to grow up and stop behaving like one of your (or our) idiot supporters

Didn't hit the wall 00.11, BA took the freekick and Friedal tipped it round the post, very close. I don't detect any bitterness in this post, just an opinion of someone whis obviousley followed parker for a few years, not just half a season. I loved Parker at west ham and was initially gutted when he left, especially for the spuds. But he does have a knack of giving away needless free kicks on the edge of the box. He done the same against Liverpool the other night, getting booked again in the process. Done it countless times throughout his west ham career. His good does outweigh his bad though, and he certainly looks a more complete player now he's surrounded by better players.

Bullshit about the moderator excuse seeing as you failed to post my comment about you shitstirring THFC supporters just to get web ticks.

I always had time for WHU & their style of play but you are f*cking pathetic and I wont post here again despite having done so often in the past. Now I know why we cannot stand you lot.

BTW ENJOY the running track but do take a pair of binoculars.
BTW2(I cannot resits this) is it true that Karen Brady stands to pee?

Congratulations HF- you've managed to make an even bigger t*t of yourself than usual with this one.

I don't say Parker is a dirty player. He isn't. He is as honest as the day is long. I do say that he is a STUPID player, however. He is all passion, no brain. THAT'S why he makes those stupid tackles. Did you see his face in the post match interview? Did you hear the cogs in his brain clunking as he processed the question?

Anonymous said...

We don't care if he's stupid. We just care that last years player of the year is still doing the business for the yids. You know nothing of football if you think Parker shouldn't be going to the euros.... Why don't you try an find something interesting about Wet Spam to write about.... hahaha JOKE

Im a Spurs fan and to be fair, Parkers done it a few times now. Its very dodgy and dangerous. He did it against Liverpool twice (at Anfield).

Stupid he ain't, he's playing top three footie and is 18 places above yous sad and sorry lot.... which I might add won't be for much longer as everyone who is anyone knows you'll be beat by Southampton. You silly sad man.
