QPR's Fernandes Planning for Relegation

Apparently QPR fans should be delighted that Tony Fernandes has twattered that he will stay on as Chairman if the club are relegated. Personally, I don't see why that would be a cause for celebration. Let's face it, what choice would he have? The value of his investment would plummet and there would only be two ways of recovering his money: either asset stripping, or getting the Hoops back into the Prem before he sells.

So, rather than be delighted, the Rs should be concerned that their Chairman is making noises about going down. I'm sure Hughes doesn't want to hear Fernandes talking about relegation on the back of one bad defeat. QPR are still two places above the drop zone for pity's sake, and Blackburn and Wigan are both playing like drains. It's true that Bolton and Wolves are putting up a bit of a fight, but after signing Cisse and Zamora, not to mention the others, the Hoops should have enough to stay up - even with Anton and Nedum paired together in the centre of the defence.

The next two games against Blackburn and Fulham are huge. Everybody at the club needs to be focused on staying up so Fernandes is not helping by twattering about going down. Who knows, perhaps Joey will hit his keypad and put him right over the next 24 hours!

I spoke with Tony and he said he only did it to see what bollocks you would come up with. Well done, you are like a trained monkey.

LOL That's the only reason why he dipped into his pocket to prove that bastard West Ham fan wrong! ; } You gRs should erct a statue to me outside Loftus Road if you stay up. Call it The Fanny in the Bush!

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down cowboy. Are you really saying that the only reason Fernandes has bought players is because of your blog?

To be fair mate I agree with everything you've just said wich is a miracle because a lot of the time u do talk some bollocks the last thing I want to here after the wolves game is the chairman talking of us going down we were cruising before soppy bollocks got sent off still plenty of points to play for and I know the banker points are now but I actually think we will pick up more points after Feb when the teams had a bit more time to gel together lol

Please Rs fans, stop posting about the comment on signings,it was a joke, ur maming us Rs look like morons!
HF, agree whole heartedly with this bar maybe the jab at ferdinand and onouha! Wolves are shit though and McCarthy does not have a good record in relegation battles. Doyle plays well for half and hour and with two left feet for the next few games and I am Irish. Boltons bubble has burst and those two along with wigan, blackburn and west brom should help our cause.

good artical.

pretty much sums up my point of view on the matter.

all he is doing is damaging our chances of staying up by talking of relegation.

talk about a confidence breaker.

btw, these plebs commenting on your blog are from the qpr report messageboard blog.

god knows why they are spending so much time on your site, but keep up with being real.

I find our leader TF's comments reassuring, further proof of his commitment to rangers. He won't leave us in the lurch with an uncertain future. You have to have contingency plans. He has spent millions and made tough decisions in the best inerests of our club.
We dont sell our top players
like we used to - we really have ambition for a change and I see exciting times ahead.
At last Adel may play as a striker
which I feel would be the best use of his incredible talent.Sparky knows a thing or two about getting goals!

another dig at QPR, have you forgotten that we also have a Billionair that owns 30% of the club, When we were in the chmpionship he wanted to buy the club. We are in safe hands with either Fernandes or Mittal.

dentgeranger well said and totally agree about tarbs. I have been screaming at the telly to play him as a striker in a 442. Hope Sparky does against blackburn. On current form they will not be handle him and zamora
