Tottenham In Champions League; and Fulham lose!

These British managers are crap aren't they? Mark Hughes gets the sack because the Board at Unreal City get twitchy and is replaced by an Italian. Over at White Hart Lane, after a top notch Spaniard had carried Tottenham to the brink of oblivion, our 'Arry was tasked with saving them, and has now led them into the Champions League at the "expense" of super rich, Italian managed, Manchester City! Meanwhile, Pulis takes Stoke to Fulham and they win, 3 days after Zola masterminded our 3-2 defeat.

Well done 'Arry, well done Tottenham, well done Fulham, well done Woy and well done Stoke and Tony Pulis. Meanwhile, over at West Ham, it was a case of, in the Italian, Zola, we trusted!

The worst thing that could have happened is to have Spuds win a Champions League place. Give Harry so many more millions and be sure he will raid Upton Park. Frankly, I would have been a lot happier if Man City won. I don't mind English Managers but I do mind Harry Redknapp. He is a confirmed Judas money sucking son and so on so forth. Ask Portsmouth fans what they they feel about him. Sorry, HF I would not even come close to saying well done Harry. Other things come to mind which I am not allowed to say here.

You can get it off your chest on here mate. Love him or loath him, there's no denying he's done a brilliant job. Weren't Tottenham level on points with us at the end of last season? How things have changed since! Redknapp or Zola? No contest! I wonder where we would be now if we hadn't sacked him?

dont worry they will only be in it for 5 minutes because they will get stuffed by who ever they play in it. and then we can take the p out of them. but the good thing is. it gives all the other teams in the premier league hope. if a little crap team like tottenham can get in it. then so can any 1

if we hadn't sacked Harry where would we be probably in the same boat as the other clubs he's managed check out how they've been doing lately Bournemouth Portsmouth Southampton or is it he just doesn't want ooiks moving in near him on the most expensive real estate in Britain
other than that all I can say is tonight is one of those nights that I hate football

Probably we would be in a position similar to the one Portsmouth is now. Thank God we god rid of the decease he brings with him. I just hope he stays with Spurs long enough to do some permanent damage. But I do take your point regarding how bad Zola is. There is really no comparison not only with Harry but any other manager in the Premier League. Zola is just not a manager - full stop.

big up Tony Carr, long live Di Canio, it was great at West Ham tonight...oh, you're talking about spuds...

Tonight at Upton Park was a travesty. The fans were asked to pay Carr what the club owed him. How much does he earn in comparison to Dyer? Disgraceful. Yes, I'm pleased for Carr but what mugs football fans are. I do a good job, but I don't expect my CUSTOMERS to cough up hard cash by way of a testimonial - my employers pay me! Tottenham's victory tonight will have reverberations for years to come. The monopoly of the big 4 is over and Man City will qualify next season, probably at Arsenal's expense. Football in England changed for the better tonight. Well done 'Arry and Tottenham!

it wasn't a travesty for those who went to support a great man, scout and coach and a pleasure to see Paolo et al. Some people don't think too much about money when you're celebrating the great of the club

I will post on this but how, exactly, did the club grant Carr a testimonial? Had they made the Man City game the Carr testiminial and given him one eighteenth of all the season ticket sales and the proceeds from ticket sales for the game, then the employer would have rewarded him, instead of the fans. Good on you and others for going, I would have been tempted if it wasn't my wife's birthday, but the whole testimonial business is a scam. Now about Cole, Lampard and co giving the man who made them one week's salary each? How about the club paying him 5% of the transfer fees generated from the sale of those players? No, the poor mug fans remunerate him!

now all those overpaid no disgustingly overpaid donate 1 weeks wages to the man that nurtured their talent a fortune to a man that deserves it a pittance to those in receipt thereof thats an idea
while we're on it how bout suggesting that they all donate a weeks wages each to employ 2 nurses in the NHS for a year

My heart felt pig sick last night. I had a really good time at the testimonial and then Spuds went and scored!

My head however, is telling me that I should be happy that it's Spuds who have got the Champions League spot over Citeh.

Tottenham are a well run football club with an English manager that invest in young British players as much as foreign superstars.

I DESPISE the amount of money in football and how it has changed the game.

It also feels wrong to just 'buy' success.

I hope Manure and Liverpool go into administration and Chelski and Citeh's billionaire owners get bored and uproot leaving them penniless again.

Alas, it won't happen.

Borders on racism. Is Ancelotti a bad manager then? He's Italian. Is Mourinho a bad manager? Not Italian, but then not English either. Is Brian Laws a good manager? Is Ian Dowie? Get over it!

Ancelotti IS a bad manager because he didn't let the Chelsea boys play yesterday!

Umm...hate to appear pedantic, or a killjoy for that matter, but Spuds aren't actually IN the Champions League proper as yet. I'm referring to the group stages of course. Assuming Arsenal win on Sunday, and Spuds finish 4th, they still have to come through the 3rd and final qualifying round to do that, and their opposition at that stage aren't likely to be a 'gimme' either!

Hammersfan said...

You're right again Shaun but I hope they progress personally. I'm a fan of British clubs when they play in Europe whoever they are. Mind you, I wanted Liverpool to lose to Athletico. I can't get over the cheating that led up to THAT Gerrard goal!

Thank you hammersfan for being . honest about Redknapp and Spurs Yes they`ve done a fantastic job, im glad we`ve got Redknapp, it proves that an English manager is as good ,if not better than Mancini and all the other foreign managers in the country. To SAV, why on earth would you have wanted man shitty to beat Spurs?? jealous???
