Well now it appears that he needs us more than we need him. He has twattered today that he doesn't want to leave the club after all and is keen to sign a new contract. Now why might that be exactly? Perhaps his agent has found that only the likes of Southend and Leyton Orient are interested.
Will Allardyce fancy Hines? Somehow I doubt it. I was very excited by the way he took that goal against Villa but that now looks increasingly like a flash in the pan. Where Sears was "born again" last season, the Bible bashing Zavon Hines looks increasingly like a false prophet to me, destined to wander forever in a footballing wilderness. Show him the door Sam!

Absolutely right. Zavon thought he had made it a couple of seasons back and seemed like the sort of hungry impact player we could have done with then. Since his spell in the treatment room and his 'comeback' he showed very little appetite or any kind of special talent to help himself or the team. Bye bye Zavon. Please Sam, we don't need this underachieving, call me Guvnor, type of nasty smell hanging around our club. Get some more Kevin Nolans and players that want to show some endeavour!! Cull the Bentley boys.
Don't think Avram Grunt fancied him really. Just hoping that someone different might be helpful - but NO. Giving him some games to boost his CV and sell him on. Never happened. Rather keep loads of others in front of Hines. He's not good enough to be in reserves.

Excellent post. I thought I might be the only one watching Hines and wondering why we let him on the pitch. Too much time with Benni and Kieron. Now time to join them.
