Another West Ham Defeat! This Time In Bracknell!

How very dare they? Those misinformed Tory shopkeepers of Bracknell have only given Iain Leaning To The Right Dale the big thumbs down in the Bracknell & Sandhurst open primary. What were they thinking of? Surely they recognised how writing a political blog was the perfect qualification for becoming an MP? I mean, Iain is part of the establishment and nobody could possibly doubt his right wing credentials! What do these suburban Tories want for Maggie's sake? Iain has done his very best to establish the democratic rules he plays by when setting the rules of his football blog - no chatting, no arguing, no debating, or I will ban you! The Great Dictator even pointed out, "This is my site!"

Now where have I heard that before? This is my site! This IS MY Site! This IS MEIN Site! This IS MEIN Kamph!

Still, he could always hitch a ride home on one of the buses!

Possibly one of your worst posts ever.....And that's no mean feat!

WHTID & KUMB are by far the best of the Hammers sites/blogs. The comments you refer to were in relation to the blog having been taken over by "My way or the high way" posters or those that just wanted to abuse others rather than debate the daily goings on of our soap opera of a club.

Off the mark as usual I'm afraid

So why did they reject Iain Dale then? Is it just because he is a fat cnut? Unfair!

Hang on, if you are a Yank, what do you know about democracy? Under your system, Dale could finish second in a two horse race and still win! Under your system, we would send in an army in the name of democracy because the local electorate have voted in the wrong government!

LOL.
You really don’t know when to keep your head down below the parapet do you?
Winding up Tory Boy and his acolytes is going to bring the combined wrath of the Daily Mail readership crashing round your ears.

“Savaged by a dead sheep”, anyone?

Wrong again I'm afraid amigo.
Born and bred Londoner. Just moved over to NYC....but thanks for the political rant anyway. Doesn't interest me, politics aren't really my thing. Prefer to live and enjoy my own life rather than rely on those (mostly) gobshites to
get anything done.

Back to your point though...Who cares why they rejected Iain Dale. He writes a good West Ham Blog and that's all we're interested in.

You're supposed to be writing a football blog, yet you attack a fellow blogger and mock him up as Hitler.....So are you Saddam Hussein in all this?

Hammersfan said...

Hitler? That is Blakey from "On the Buses!" I don't remember Hitler saying, "I'll get you Butler!"

What have I got against Mr Dale? He's a Tory. Got a problem with that?

Rob, NYC said...

Oh ok....So the 'Mein Kamph' reference was nothing to do with Hitler. You'll have to forgive me for making the obvious connection.
Of course I remember Blakey. There were year's when I felt we were managed by him.

You can have a problem with whoever you like HF. I couldn't care less. Your political persuasion is your own business.
I was talking about the quality of his Hammers blog. Look and learn perhaps?

Hammersfan said...

Look and learn what? How to produce something so bland? To be fair, it has improved slightly since he has appointed a lacky to fulfil the tedious chore of writing something West Ham related, but when is there anything of substance produced by the Right Dishonourable Dale him self? I heard him on Radio 5 Live today and he felt the need to point out how a previous Tory open primary had been swamped by the Asian community. Why did Mr Dale feel the need to identify the ethnic origin of the candidate and his supporters? Why couldn't he simply say that one candidate had effectively mobilised his support in a recent primary? Sounded almost like the BNP to me. Didn't Mr Dale try to mobilise the West Ham fans reading his blog? Funnily enough, this didn't get a mention.

Bored, NYC said...

You're definitely one of those answer for everything people aren't you.

Hammersfan said...

I have an opinion on lots of things, yes.

Anonymous said...

You are entitled to your wrong opinion... like assholes we all have one.
West Ham has you AND Duxbury so no wonder we're in the shit...

It seems a little school yard to attack by likening him to Hitler - which you then try to deny when called on it.
You then have a go at the Americans because someone has NYC in their title... running low on originality this week are we?
Empty vessels make most sound.

No one is asking for something bland, but to call Dale a mouthpiece and a lacky (will ignore the politics for a moment) and then stand as the anti-Dale makes you just as bad from the other direction, no?

you're a bit simple aren't you.

Hammersfan said...

Me simple? My psychiatrist says I am very complex.

0950, I do not understand your last point. Dale's football blogs are bland to the point of being anodyne. Please show me ANYTHING interesting he has written.

Anonymous said...

Hammersfan, my last point is that you have condemned Dale again and again for being a bland mouthpiece of Duckers (I'm talking about the club here and your approach to Dale rather than the six form level political opinion/Blakey/Hitler theme you have going on here) because it speaks to your agenda towards Dale in general... still with me oh complex one?
Right so if on one hand Dale is wrong for being 'anodyne' and therefore not to cause offense, ruffle the corporate machine etc, yours are diametrically opposed and purely designed to do just that.
Therefore, my point was surely you are just as wrong, but from the opposite end of the spectrum.

And in the spirit of I throw your question back to you:
Please show me ANYTHING interesting YOU have written.

Hammersfan said...

0948, if I don't write aything interesting, why do you keep returning? I didn't use a football blog to beg for support in an open primary for the Tory Party, Dale did. That was bad form.

I look forward to the opportunity to write a positive feature on West Ham. If you look back through the history, you will find some. However, the past 18 months have been pretty disasterous haven't they? This blog has predicted the catastrophes before they have happened. I am not claiming to be alone in that but I have certainly provoked antagonism by saying it how I see it, including a very petty petition set up on West Ham Til I Die. I think you will find that I have been right on most things - sadly.

You may not like my style, you may not like the message, but I have been warning what is happening and accurately predicting what is going to happen. Sadly, I now expect us to go down because Duxbury kept peddling bullshit rather than acting to save the club. That action probably should have involved selling Parker and Upson (not Collins) and using the £20m generated to invest in four players to plug the gaps. That would have risked unpopularity so Duxbury backed away from it. Instead we have mortgaged our future which is making it harder still to find a new owner.

Back to Dale, who gives a flying you know what about what people say about us on the internet? Iain Dale may be a lovely guy but I doubt it - I have not liked what I have heard on the radio, I don't like his politics, and I don't like an ego which involves putting Bobby Moore in the background of your own mugshot on a West Ham blog site. How big is the man's ego for God's sake? It'slike your local vicar commissioning his image on the cross and putting a cardboard cut out of Jesus in the pulpit as a recorded sermon is played.

You put a lot of effort into explaining yourself all the time, but all that comes across is that you seem to be a bit of a petty man.

The angle of your blog is supposedly humourous, but you probably have a 5% success rate in that respect...Which is fine. Each to their own and all that. The constant bashing of Dale's site tied up in some political spiel seems more driven from the angle that he is running a successful regularly visited and contributed to blog compared to your own.

There's nowt wrong with the set up of his site, you seem to be the only one that takes offence with it. You seem to set up 90% of your posts to start an argument rather than debate/chat......All very strange.

Hammersfan said...

Me petty? Who started this debate? 90% of my posts are not designed to provoke anargument but they are designed to stimulate thought. And unlike Mr Dale, I am happy for you to come on here and express your opinions. WHTID has morphed into a chat site despite what Iain claims. I think that is good personally but it does make the main article each day largely irelevant don't you think?

Anonymous said...

as long as people can chat about footy...who cares. Guess that's my angle.

Hammersfan said...

We agree on that. Iain should let that side develop and not ceate unnecessary rules. Racism, foul language, physical threats and like should be banned but other than that? So what if it goes off topic!

TBI said...

..and STILL Anonymous just keeps on coming back for more.

I agree with Hammersfan on this. Dale made the mistake of mixing sport and politics and it's pissed a lot of people off (who have incidentally left the blog) and gone elsewhere.

I also don't agree with his stupid moderating rules on there. I am anti moderation and it goes against what the Internet stands for. It's gone to his head acting like a bloody headmaster and getting people to 'grass' on one another if they see any comments they don't like (and that could be ANYTHING)

Dale had a great blog now it's dying because of his stupid petty rules and the cocks that hang out on there (who act like Dales WorldWideWeb bodyguards)

Hammersfan. Don't let that lot unnerve you, and take that bloody moderating off!
