Is Terry Dixon the real deal?

Copy and paste this link to see Dixon's goal in Poland:

What I think is exciting about the goal is the lad's speed of thought. He is offside, steps up onside and reacts really quickly to tuck away the chance. Now we have seen plenty of false dawns over the years, with Freddie Sears springing to mind, but before his knee injury, Tottenham really rated this guy. His knee is presumably better, how else could he be playing, and this goal suggests that he really does have the predator's instinct. The danger, of course, is that as soon as we pick him in the Prem, a hatchet man will test out the recovery of that knee with a juddering challenge, then it could be back to square one!

However, despite the red hair and what seems to be a few extra pounds, Dixon looks good to me. Would there be any harm in using him as a sub for now?

Looks promising HF. Intelligent play and kept the shot down well.

I've read on the club site that he's training many times in the past but he never seems to be progressing from that. I hope it's the club going easy on him rather than his past injury being an irritant. The fact that he played in this reserve game is encouraging.

Great decision from the lino I must say!

Im skeptical of any young striking talent from the British Isles. Really who has come good since (or even close) since Agbonlahor and Rooney?

This isnt a 'foreign-menace' arguement, just that its incredibly difficult to develop young talent in the final third.

There's a lad called Defoe who looks a bit tasty and a big black centre forward who has been scoring a goal every two games since Christmas apparently, even though his team has struggled ... what's he called? Carlton Cole!

I also like it that he looks modest, level headed and mature. Dare I say it but do we need another striker on the bench who probably wont be risked over Hines and/or Diamanti. I don't know what the situation with anthony Edgar is either.

I thought I'd share this photo of him in action against our reserves last night.

Is he stocking up for winter?
