Curbishley Set To Drive Another Nail Into Our Coffin
Seated in his brown Volvo, towing the caravan down to Stone for the weekend, that "Claret and Blue to the core Hammers fan" Alan Turds Curbishley was no doubt delighted to hear about Keegan's constructive dismissal victory on Five Live. Here is the precedent Turds was looking for. Keegan won because he did not have the final say on transfers, which is precisely the reason AC gave for walking out on West Ham. Never mind that Keegan and Curbishley had both proved themselves inept in the transfer market, it would seem from the Keegan ruling that a club has to leave a manager in charge of transfer dealings anyway.
Lord Justice Pompousass is probably writing his ruling even now. "The fact that Mr Curbishley wasted a fortune on Mr Quashi, Mr Davenport, Mr Ljungberg and Mr Dyer is utterly and completely irrelevant, as is his pursuit of Mr Ben Thatcher immediately before being relieved of the final say on who came and went from West Ham. Although it is evident that Mr Ilunga and Mr Behrami were bargains identified by Mr Nani and that Sunderland overpaid for Mr McCartney and Mr Ferdinand, two players that Mr Curbishley did not want sold, that is not a valid reason for preventing a manager from making further mistakes. Mr Curbishley should have been allowed to complete the job of bankrupting West Ham and the Board had no right whatsoever to intervene. I therefore award Mr Curbishley compensation of £5m which West Ham can raise by selling one of Mr Green or Mr Upson to Tottenham Hotspurs."

I bet you're hoping he sues and wins

I see you don't mention Upson, Bellamy (sold for massive profit), Parker etc. Still let's keep slagging Curbs off, the manager with the best record/win ratio in West Ham's history (top flight).
At last, the first blog of yours that I agree with and makes some sense!
22.30, Turds win and draw ratio to games played is within 1% of both Pardew's and Roeder's. If you take into account the money he was allowed to spend compared to Pardew and Roeder, his recors is appalling. More importantly, he betrayed every value the club stands for in terms of our style of play. In fact, he killed the atmosphere in Upton Park with his dreadful brand of safety-first- long-ball-brown-volvo-towing-a- caravan-football.
With regard to Upson, Parker and Bellamy, Upson apart, the games played return are appalling. he bought injury prone players, including Upson who missed the Great Escape that he was signed to participate in. As for the Bellamy "profit", we had him for 18 months at £70k per week which I make over £5m. Add in tax and agents fees and I think that pretty much kills off the profit!
Tonyboy, I hate Turds so why would I want him to win?
2322, you will admit that you have wet dreams about me next.
turds in charge of a team you love to slag! must have been heaven for you.

You don't yet get where I'm coming from do you Tonyboy? Check out the Red Hot Cole article and the series on the best players ever to play for West Ham. I want to sing the praises of the club and its players but they have to deserve it first!
