Even with the late, late equalizer, today’s result was an absolute disaster and, once again, it was down to Zola’s tactical incompetence. It is patently obvious that the team cannot cope with his 4-3-3 formation: it didn’t work last season and it isn’t working this year either but still Zola persists with it, in an example of blind, stupid pig headedness.
Clarke came out yesterday and told us we shouldn’t put too much pressure on Hines, yet Zola picks him and plays him out of position in a must win game. Stanislas comes on but is still played on the wrong flank. Parker and Noble are still paired in midfield despite all the evidence that they do not compliment each other. Jimenez and Diamanti are lightweight and cannot play in the same team in my opinion. Tomkins is promising but isn’t yet ready and that’s true of Hines and Stanislas too.
We are deep in the mire. Three home games without a victory is a catastrophe. I would now call us strong favourites for the drop. How long can we leave Zola in charge?

Well the international break is looming so we may aswell have this discussion.
Fact of the matter is there is next to no chance the board will get rid. They have no money for a severance package and I doubt they could market a skint club to any manager worth anything.
Selling Collins is really what has cost us the most points at this point. Have you ever heard a club getting better selling a center half on deadline day?

Cashing in on James Collins not only hasn't solved our attacking problem but destroyed the centre of the defence. The club should be sold a.s.a.p. or we are finished! Zola has made mistakes and I agree with the comments made about the wrong selection and tactics. But the root of the problem is not Zola. It is because the Club continues to be ran by the Recovery Division of a consortium of banks. Their only mission is to be conservative and collect as much as possible any way they can. Unless the club is sold before January to someone who is willing to invest in the potential of a historic and proud London club then I don't see things getting any better. Our good players will be looking to get out and no new players worth anything would be interested to risk their careers (even if we had any money to pay for them) on club with an uncertain future.
In the short term the club is not going to be sold so bleating on about that is not going to win us football matches.
We are stuck with the players we have and need to direct them and motivate them.Player for player Fulham were no better than us today but once down to 10 men their determination and tactics made us look woeful Championship certainties.Where does that commitment and direction need to come from???

I was listening to the game on 5 live sx when about 3/4 of the way through it seemed like the commentator had a breakdown and started crying????? at which point the broadcast ended. does anybody know what happened???

Very poor game with few pluses other than maybe the comfort of Jimenez on the ball, Diamante's crosses and the return of Behrami.
Best part of the day was the Curry in Green Street with my brother!!

the five live commentator collapsed but they don't know why. I heard it was because of frustration that West Ham let the game slip out of their hands
I read today that david sullivan is apparently interested in the hammers but not at the price being asked because of the debt he would take on. they should snap his hand off for whatever he is offering because we will be worth nothing if we go down
