Grant was happy with that!

I've heard it all now! I fumed each time Zola praised pathetic performances, claiming we were unlucky when we had played like absolute clowns, but to hear Grant claiming he is happy with the performance after a 0-0 draw at home to the King's Head, Blackpool, takes the absolute biscuit. We were lucky for God's sake, The Red Lion Blackpool had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside and Harewood missed a sitter, but Grant is happy. We couldn't score at home to a bunch of Brickies turning out for their local pub side, but Grant is happy. We played the match at The Wheatsheaf Blackpool's pace, letting them set the tempo of the game throughout, but Grant is happy. What a farce!

I'm sick to death of the excuses, sick to death of the hard luck stories, sick to death of the "We deserved better" complaints. Blame the referee. Blame bad luck. Blame injuries. Credit the opposition. It's all bollocks. We were crap again today, so crap we couldn't win at home to a bloody pub side, so crap that their keepers looked truly troubled only twice in 90 minutes, so crap that we needed a wrong call from a linesman to come away with a point!

Grant was happy with that was he? Well Grant should piss off forthwith.

I have a huge sympathy with those opinions, HF.
I came away at least entertained and I felt we played some good stuff at times today. I thought Barera had a more promising outing for us too.
That said, although I felt we edged it overall, you're right - Blackpool had the clearest chances and a disallowed goal, we were a defensive shambles at times and for Grant to give it the 'I'm happy' line (although he did say he's not happy with the result at least) is piss poor t' be sure, t' be sure.

Couldnt have said it better! Grant has to go before it really is too late( if it aint already?). A lucky goaless draw at home to the team most tipped to go down just shows how far we have fallen. Gold and Sullivan need to pull their fingers out and start delivering on their promises. If they havent got the money or the bottle then they should sell the club to someone who has both! COYI!!!!!!!

Today I have given up with this team. Grant is Zola Mk 2, an absolute joke, he is delusional.
We are going down if he does not go immediately.
As a team, you cannot be 'unlucky' all the time. Each result recently, taken on its own has been poor, taken in the context of the season as a whole, they have been quite dreadful.
Something has to change fast; so bloody depressing, season after season.

If LIVERPOOL give us a real hammering next Saturday,we will be sitting isolated at the bottom, and well adrift of safety. If GRANT is out then SULLIVAN and GOLD will have to appoint their man quick smart ,to bed in before the transfer window opens in January. They have come out and given him their backing in the media, but do you think they mean it,especially considering our predicament now?

In saying all this, I fully expect to see a fearless performance against Liverpool with all the pressure off. Would be blooming typical

You say Headmaster that "Barrera had a more promising outing"! MMMMM!!! Once again we have splashed out money on a player that has delivered absolutely F.A. for the cause! No doubt we will get the "usual"..."oh hes new"..."he needs time to settle"..."needs time to adjust to the pace of the Prem"! We we have a lot of things...but time aint 1 of them!!! Yoy sign players to deliver (not expecting 10/10 performances EVERY game but im expecting some sort of return from a 23 year old Intenational player who has played at World Cup level.! Surely 6 months after signing for a club thats not too much to ask!! When are we going to get a Manager with a bit of backbone thats going to continually tell the players that its not ok to get outfought every game. Not OUTPLAYED....just outfought by hungrier players!!

I'm sorry but we were robbed by the refs today, two clear penalties in the first half that would have been given for the home side at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge. We have been robbed at least 8 points by the refs so far this season.

But Blackpool had a legitimate goal disallowed and our first penalty claim was not a penalty. Unlucky? We were so lucky Harewood missed that sitter and that volley hit Green from point blank range. Blackpool created the better chances. We were lucky to draw!
