West Ham Chase Owen Hargreaves

Following his startling return from injury, West Ham are rumoured to be chasing Owen Hargreaves, hoping to sign the English German Canadian midfield general in the January transfer window. A club insider said: "Owen Hargreaves is a top player and when back to his best, is a certainty for Fabio Capello's England squad. He is exactly the sort of player West Ham specialise in signing. We see him as the ideal player to compliment Hitzlespurger and Dyer."

A double deal is apparently under consideration, with Michael Owen seen as a possible solution to the club's goal scoring problems.

Both players would be available at hugely discounted prices because of recent injury problems and both signings would be subject to stringent medical checks. Neither player is likely to agree to 'a pay when you play contract' but it is thought that both would be happy with a basic weekly salary of £100,000 per week, with further payments based upon appearances.

Both players would represent a gamble but surely West Ham must get lucky sooner or later?

He thinks he's writing a footballing equivalent of The Onion. Biting satire.
It's just time wasting bile.
I hate footballing procrastination at the best of times. I'm not sure who this blog is intended for. Chuckling idiots in his inner ring patting each other on the back and going "good one"
