Thank God for Scott Parker! Had we gone in at half time a goal down, there would have been no coming back: not in this game and not from relegation. I said yesterday that a defeat tonight means certain relegation, and that trap door inched open when Boa gave away a penalty by pushing Reid at a corner! First off, how can any decision be given for pushing or tugging at a corner? Everybody bloody does it! We don't get a penalty at Birmingham for an obvious shirt pull in open play, but in a crowded box, Boa is singled out! Bloody typical!
Look at the stats and you can see how crap we have been. West Brom have had more shots on goal, more shots on target and have had 51% of the play. Even the OS is calling our performance "poor" and "ridiculous". The Parker goal is a lifeline but it wasn't worked in any way - it was all down to Scotty's inspiration. Just imagine where we would be without Parker's goals! And I wanted to sell him! What a cnut as some say!
This really is the most vital 45 minutes since...well since the Wigan game last season! If we win, we will stay up; if we lose we will go down; if we draw, it will be a miracle if we survive! Blackpool's reserves are drawing at Villa, with Harewood scoring again! Three points are a must but if we play like we did in the first half, there's no chance! Tell me, how can we look so good for 70% of the game against Birmingham and so crap at home to an ordinary West Brom. Sort it out Avram - and fast! Will we see Obinna in place of Barrera at the start of the second half? Trouble is, who then replaces Dyer when he tires or limps off?
