Green called up for England!

O dear God, Green is in the England squad! Has Capello lost his mind? Somebody show him the footage of Green flapping at that cross in today's game! Somebody show him examples of Green's kicking! Somebody show him a recording of the Birmingham game!

I know beggars can't be choosers and the pantry is pretty bare of keepers at the moment, but surely things are not so desperate that we need to pick a man who is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and who turns to jelly every time a ball is crossed into his box?

I know Hart is first choice but, what with it being a friendly, I reckon Green might just be given 45 minutes. I tell you what, I'm not going to risk watching the game with my Tottenham mate just in case!

As for Capello, he should have gone to Specsavers!

Green is actually 5th choice which is about right. 3rd choice (Robinson) and 4th choice (James) are not picked for their respective reasons and since Capello needs 3 keepers, he's gone for 5th choice Green. He won't play.

That being the case, you pick a young keeper and "grow" him in the squad.

Why did Green pat that cross from the left down into the centre of the 6 yard box and not pop it over the bar for a corner like other goal keepers would have done? The trouble is nothing has been learnt or altered since similar mistakes in previous games. this has to be down to bad management.

In which case John, Green will be brilliant on his return from training with England. The guy is a nervous wreck. He shouldn't be in our team, never mind the England team!

perhaps the call up will help his confidence and maybe a little of input from quad training will help too? positives son, always look for the positives as it's what we need. Positiveness breeds positivenesses.
