West Ham 2 West Brom 2 - Knocking on Relegation's Door!

Still bottom, another two points evaporated into the ether and relegation comes a step closer. The utter inability of this team to press home an advantage is pathetic. Two goals ahead against Birmingham and we draw. A goal up at home to West Brom, with less than 20 minutes to go, and we still draw.

Even more pathetic is our inability to deal with crosses into our box. Yet again, we concede from a header, and we were lucky not to lose to another. It is such basic stuff but it is beyond the ability of our coaching team to sort it out. Pathetic.

A minor miracle happened tonight, Dyer completed a full game for West Ham. So no chance of him making the Blackpool game then! Cole was withdrawn. His return to form was short lived wasn't it?

This situation is now becoming very serious. We can't win games and that means relegation.

Another draw after going ahead, what is it about this team? Your right HF WESTHAM have no killer instinct,we can never finish a team off.Having said that if it wasn't for BOA-MORTE'S moment of madness it would have been 3 pts.Having trouble beating the weaker sides in the league doesn't fill me with much confidence at the moment.BLACKPOOL is a winnable game ,they have to take 3 pts, anything less will be considered relegation candidates for certain. Why the heck did GRANT drop our best player in OBINNA ,he should have had him up front with PIQUIONNE? Even though he is not that great in front of goal he does a lot more on the pitch than COLE.One good thing to come out of the game was PARKER'S goal, from going on a goal drought for a few seasons hes banging them in from all angles,5 already.CAPELLO must be aware of that fact.

But how many free kicks did Parker give away again? That's why Capello won't pick him.

The defence cannot be steady with Gabbidon included.

Very true

The team just does not seem to have the character or strength of will to win. I think we need bigger, fitter, stronger players both mentally and physically.

"Since taking charge at Portsmouth last November, Grant has won just six of 37 Premier League games in charge." -Sun

Time to eat some humble pie hammersfan. Zola would have been better than this clown.

At least we're not losing these games

I am sorry to have to agree with 04:11. I just can't beleive how our brilliant new owners have found one with even worse record than Zola to employ as our manager in such a crucial year! It is still not too late to change things. God, do we need a change!!! This can't really go on. I mean we are not losing games away to MU or Arsenal or even Chelsea anymore. We are dropping points with Fulham, Bolton, Newcastle and West Brom at home! That spells relegation to me. It is time to do something about it.

Carlton Cole, Ilunga and Boa Morte must surely be dropped on Saturday. They were awful, all three of them.

How Cole got in the starting line up ahead of Obinna last night is beyond me. He's looking desperately low on confidence, form and interest.

I'm coming to the conclusion that he's simply not good enough and is basically a poor player that had a 'one off' purple patch of good form about a year ago rather than a good player that's having a patch of bad form now.

Of all the games he's played for us he must have been in form for the less an a quarter of them. We can't rely on someone so inconsistent. He's had enough chances now but hasn't delivered. Zola was clearly good for his confidence but without him around he looks a shadow of the player we thought he could be.

Oh and I'd rather play Ben Haim or Gabbidon at left back than Ilunga. He seems to have lost interest since he got a permanent contract. He used to gee up the fans and write a regular blog about WH games but that's all gone now, along with his form and passion. Another money grabbing footballing mercenary? Looks like it.
