Will Sheffield United launch new Third Party Claims?

Following the 2-2 draw at home to the mighty 10 man Doncaster Rovers, their first point in five games, will Sheffield United instruct lawyers to commence new Third Party claims?

A spokesman close to the club said: "There's not a team in this division that hasn't got one or more players on loan and it seems clear to us, from our results so far this season, that there are Third Party agreements in existence. Given our perilous position in the division, you can expect a legal action or two fairly soon."

He continued: "It is absurd to think that we are struggling because we have a poor team and because we play a crude form of kick and charge football unsuited to the Championship, never mind the Premier League. We have a quality team and the club is led brilliantly by an excellent Board. Our league position is therefore utterly inexplicable - unless teams are cheating!"

He added: "We will be looking very closely at the loan deal that took Sears to Scunthorpe. We know those Cockney bustards cheat so you can bet your life there was something dodgy involved in that deal. But we will sue whoever we think we can sue. The sooner that guy Scott Duxbury gets back into football the better, then we needn't even go to court."

Asked about Nosworthy, the spokesman said: "That is completely different. The guy is hopeless which is why he came to Sheffield United. I mean, it's not as if he is Carlos Tevez is it? What chance is there of anybody like Tevez ever coming to Sheffield United?"

It is rather splendid isn't it HF? Is it too much to ask that that prick Warnock fails in his bid to take the 'gers up?

Hammersfan said...

I must confess that I like Warnock actually, and I have a soft spot for QPR, so I want them to come up. Oops!

Not even funny. Give it a rest.

No wonder people wish you ill

What Duxbury? He's pledged to see me in court. So that should be a nice little eraner!

HF - you may like him (and I know what you mean) but he was a major perpetrator of the lie that we robbed his Sheffield United of their premier league status. It is a disgusting lie and yet it has been allowed to fester by some Blades fans, the hierarchy at their club, the weakness of the West Ham board and sections of the media. I do not want him to succeed fella. I will never forget how he spoke to my mate's then 8 year old when, as Crystal Palace Manager, he strolled up to him in Crystal Palace park having recognised him from the telly. My mate's lad was wearing the colours, as ever. "West Ham?" he said, sneering past his not inconsiderable hooter "cost me my job your lot...." Nah we didn't - being shit did that all on its own.

Hammersfan said...

But we did cost him his job, we sent Shafting United down! He bleated but it was the Chairman who pursued it through the courts. McScab is the true villain in my book. Mind you, the Wigan chairman was in on it too and I have a lot of time for him!

The great thing is that this thread already sits number ten on the Sheffield United News Now board. Never mind reports on today's game, they all follow this link in the desperate hope that they can get in the courts what they can't earn on the pitch! Says it all!

Happy New Year to all you Blunted Blades by the way. Hope you enjoy it in the old Third Division!

sad sad to55er, and you reckon we hold a grudge? just get over the fact that you got caught cheating, had to pay for it but still got away with retaining your premier league place, man up little boy

Hammersfan said...

Oh we hold a grudge, trust me, we hold a grudge! Your result is one of the first we look for and we delight when you lose. Tell you what, I reckon we might even cheer on Millwall against your mob!

Hammersfan said...

LOL That's easy in Sheffield! You just book a club and strip down to your bollocks! So, are you going to finish third from bottom this year or go the Full Monty and finish in 24th?

This is great.

The scummy blunts would probably sink so low they did when suing for going out of the prem. because they were rubbish and deserved to go down instead they sued West Ham.

The blunts are the laughing stock of world football and will always be for ever more.

This is from an Owl

The blunts are the biggest cheaters in world football.

They deserve to be where they are. I hope they go down and even go out of business...... They're losing 8 million a year and that includes the West Scam money!

Never met a bunch of tard fans either!

West Ham broke the rules. FACT
West Ham were fined for breaking the rules. FACT
Rule breaking gained West Ham at least 3 points. FACT
Sheffield United were unfairly relegated. FACT

West Ham are yet to pay up cos they're a badly run club who are skint.. FACT(ish!)

West Ham are going down. JUSTICE

Us Blades can only hope it's in some controversial fashion so you can experience the pain of being cheated out of something that was rightfully yours. And we're arguably still paying for it.

If it wasn't Utd it would have been Wigan you'd be aiming this at.

Shame your team didn't play better, FACT

I think it's funny, FACT

Hmmmm 01.26. Interesting argument. Lets take a look at those 'FACTS' shall we?

"West Ham broke the rules. FACT"
As decided on the 97th appeal. The first 96 disagreed. Do you even know how we broke the rules? We signed a player on loan who was owned by a 3rd party. Is that a huge offence? Its a technicallity at best and one which the FA themselves APPROVED when the deal took place. We did not sneak points onto the bored, nor did we sign Mecha-Pele-Robocop!

"West Ham were fined for breaking the rules. FACT"
Yes we were in the original FA investigation and were set a RECORD fine by the FA as a result due to this administrative technicallity.

"Rule breaking gained West Ham at least 3 points. FACT"
There is much more evidence to suggest that Tevez COST us many more points than he gained. After winning the first game of the season away, Tevez signed and unsettled the team from the ground up immediately. Pardew never wanted him, and this dressing room ripple started one of the worst losing streaks in WH's history. There is no doubt in my mind that we would have finished top half that year if he never signed having finished with 55 points and as FA Cup runners-up the previous year!

"Sheffield United were unfairly relegated. FACT"
Priceless! SU were relegated because they finished with 38 points! this would not be enough to survive any PL season (except last year). Suggesting we were responsible for this is ludicrous, especially when you picked up 3 of those point against us with Tevez on the pitch! Explain that!
Truth is, you went out and lost to Wigan on the last day of the season proving that you didnt belong in the Prem. This left us only needing a draw against Man Utd. We won, but Tevez's goal was irrelevent since 0-0 would have done us just fine.

This whole compensation drama was never anything more that McCabe clutching at straws and even you must see that given the FACTS. Anyway, lets let bygones be bygones. Best of luck in League 1 next season and good luck seeking compensation from whoever you decide to blame this year!

FarehamHammer said...

Didn't you hear what your ex manager Neil Warnock had to say about The Academy of Football on Goals on Sunday ?"West Ham are a FABULOUS club !".The TRUTH shall set you free !.We're more than a football club ,we're a way of life !COYI !

Maybe it was Liverpool's fault for sending Sheffield United down for fielding the weakened team against Fulham?
Maybe it was Man Utd's fault for sending Sheffield United down for losing to West Ham on the final day?
Maybe it was the Sheffield United's fault for sending Sheffield United down for losing a rigged match with Wigan that your management assumed would send West Ham down (forgetting that Man Utd might also be in on the act!!)
Blades fans, do give it a rest, you're down and about to go down again, hardly makes you a worthy premiership outfit what ever the FACTS are!!!

Anonymous said...

West Ham were found to be in error on registration documents for which they were fined. The fine was paid end of story. The docking of points was never an option on any of the 74.000 appeals that the blunts put in until some twat agreed with them. Your team was crap that's why you went down. Just to show there's no bad blood between the two clubs everwhere I go in the Prem with West Ham I always send a Postcard to your Chairman and I would urge any true WHU supporter to do likewise. Oh look a lovely one here depicting the bridge and the Toon at night.

Happy Hammers Happy Days

I shall tell you what happend the FA look at clubs like West ham and say that they actually deserve to be in the premiership which they dont also Sheffield united took into a independent which proved that the way the FA dealt with it was wrong and anyway thanks for the money!!

Hammersfan said...

Show me the money! Shame about the points!

Anonymous said...

Hey I'm Paddys and STFU..

Also UP THE BLADES.

Anonymous said...

4 points from the last five games, get your facts right!
In all seriousness I have nothing against west ham as a club you've got great passionate fans and a good history, but I think most clubs in our position would have sued you aswell. Granted it did drag on to much and was a farce for both clubs involved!
Anyway good luck on staying up the season!

Don't be so bloody reasonable mate.

As a Donny fan with family West Ham connections, got to say I'm loving your work. I didnt mind the Blunts until they turned into a set of whinging gets.

The money you scammed from us and you are still tens of millions in debt. Relegation this season could well be the end of you. Shame.
