£4.5m for Cole? Tell Stoke where to stick it!

So Stoke have not bid £6million for Carlton as some reports suggested but £4.5m rising to £6m based on appearances - lets hope it is appearances and not goals or God only knows when we would see the balance of the money!

To my mind, the offer is derisory. I know Cole isn't Shearer or Lineker, but if Bent is worth £20m rising to £24m, then Cole must be worth £6m up front of any club's money surely?

Once again, the failure to rejuvenate the squad last summer is coming back to bite us. Back then, Cole, Behrami, Parker and Green would have commanded a combined transfer fee of £25m; now we look like netting £15m for the four if we are lucky - and we have paid out £10million of that in wages! And for what? We finished bottom for fcuk's sake!

What a shambles!

4.5m for him is 4.5m too much, big difference between him and Bent is Bent actually scores goals

Cole is a confidence player as Zola showed show faith in him and his confidence will come through and he will score goals and FS would be able to do that in fact with FS in charge we should do all we can to keep CC cos he will get 20+ goals

4.5m is a ridiculous figure for a 26 year old english international...no matter your thoughts on how good or bad cole is, 4.5k is a joke

I guess we get to stand in shock and delight at yet another astute business deal from our board

Why have our fans not turned on these idiots, these mistakes we have seen over the last 18 months are not bad luck, its from being run by wankers that couldnt organize a piss up in a brewery.
