Brighton Bound Mucky-Smith Just Wants to be Loved!

Well either Brighton are going to surprise a lot of people next season or Mucky-Smith has demonstrated his inadequacies and lack of ambition by signing for Brighton and Hove Albion.

I queried all along why, exactly, we were trying to buy a player who, at 27, would surely have had a crack at the big time by now if he was any cop. Of course, the West Ham Can Do No Wrong merchants argued the toss, claiming that Mucky was a special talent to compare with the likes of Gerrard, Drogba and the mighty Billy Jennings!

But they will change their tune now. No ambition. Small club mentality. Found his level.

Apparently he joined Brighton because of the warmth of Poyet. What a ponce! Never mind the opportunity to join the favourites for promotion, all Mucky-Smith wants is cuddles, something he is unlikely to get from Doctor Evil. Brighton are welcome to him!

Can't win really, can he? If he goes to the bigger club to sit on the bench he's a "money grabber", if he opts for a smaller club where he'll be the main man it's a "lack of ambition".

Not impressed by the arrogant tone of this entry though.

You're just narked because he knows he will play regular footie at the Amex and score over 20 goals in league one! At West Ham he would never know what was next! I'm going to put a bet on him being top scorer in the Championship at 14-1. Mind you he could be surpassed by Will Hoskins ... I think I might put a bet on him as well! What a great time to be a Seagulls fan.

100% agreed! What an absurd decision on his part. I dont care if he came to us or not. But to choose Brighton over us, Leicster and two EPL clubs shows exactly why we shouldnt shed a tear over this. And some reports say Sam wasnt too keen anyway and never really wanted him.

If thats true, Im liking Sam even more every day.

You make a fair and valid point. It was I who argued that his age had no bearing on the judging of his talent. Although I still believe he can score goals in the championship, his choice to join Brighton speaks volumes about his character.

Hopefully he won't win many playing for Brighton 1831!

1903, check history. I was opposed to West Ham signing a 27 year old who had been playing in the third tier of English football. Same response to you 2214.

Sheer arrogance from West Pork fans. You're a club with huge debts and two clowns in the board room. Now there's rumours of underhand dealings over the Olympic stadium. A club that should have been relegated two seasons ago with fans who think they support a 'big' team.

You wonder why he chose Brighton ?

hf we did well not signing a 27 year old whos done f all so far fry has just been talking to try and get his price up thers better around than him and there much younger before westham get to unhappy remember david kelly when we got him from wallsall and the mighty billy jennings he was a natural born misser he missed even more than robbie keanne i think if m s was 23 he would have been a great buy but not at 27 and another thing the fee if stoke see carlton cole as being a 3.2 mill player cms was over priced and to much of a gamble so its time to move on i still think theres players around in the lower divisions to take a chance on but it would be nice that if we are gonna gamble lets gamble on someone a bit nearer to 20 rather than 30 good article hf
