And the Exodus continues. At this rate, apart from Nolan, the only player left on our books with be Scott Parker. Dyer's gone (did he ever arrive?); Faubert's going; Upson's gone; Gabbidon's gone; da Costa's gone; Kovac has departed; Ba has legged it; Hitzlsperger has gone too; Obinna has left as well; Jacobsen has gone; Spector may be going and Faubert is catching the next sleeper service out of London. It's beginning to feel like a case of, "Will the last man to leave the Boleyn Ground please switch off the lights?"!
Now Ilunga is being linked with Rennes. One is tempted to say they are welcome to him but we don't have anybody else to play left back as things stand.
We were promised seven new signings this summer but only two have arrived so far and there have been 12 departures already, not counting Robbie Keane. With the new season only a month away, is anybody else beginning to get a little worried?

Not really. I'm pretty sure that Sam and SuGo have it under control. Today was the first day of Pre season training and Sam will be looking at what he has to replace or if a youngster is good enough to fill that space.
I am confident we are a big enough club to still attract a lot of talent. I am actually glad we have lost a lot of players as THEY are the players that got us relegated. We have needed a big clear out for a while and Sam is doing it now. Keep showing the dross the door Sam!
It was something we could expect to happen. But I got a strong feeling that Big Sam knows what he is doing. Why not build a new and stronger team for the future. For now and for ever West Ham in my heard. COYI'S
Not worried in the least. Sort of. I mean, I would love to see Gradel, Smith, and Campbell all come. At current rate none will. But the window just opened today for real, and only the Ginormous clubs do real business in advance. The rest of us just run the rumor mill and then race each other after July 1st.
Sam has it under control. He has been there and done that.
No.
Because everybody else has the common sense to realise that there was always going to be massive overhaul and that the transfer window has only today officially opened.
Everybody else also realises that there are bit-part players from last season like Sears, Barerra, Hines (maybe) as well as a few youngsters who can fill some of the gaps of outgoing players.
But still, don't let it stop you from having another moan.
Agree totally with Rex, Bubble and Dave.
you should be rejoicing if we get him off the wage bill, same with faubert, kovac, dyer, upson etc. ilunga would be the highest paid left back in the championship, cant speak english and the past 2 year cant defend either! we still have a core of green, stech, tompkins, reid, faye, spence, noble, collison, nolan, sears, stanislas, piq, cole add 5 more names to that and you have a great squad and no little dead wood. if green or cole go even better, then we will have funds to replace them.
Hope you are right 2109. Remember how many players we went through before Pardew got it right, however?
Sorry im not feeling the "big sam has it under control" blind faith.
We still need a squad...and yes some of our dead wood has been moved on but what we got left... ??
Gk - Green ?
Left Back - no one
Right back - Spence
Central defence - Tomkins and Faye
Right wing - collison
Left wing - Barrera (maybe)
Central Mid - Noble and Nolan
Forwards - Cole ? and Piquionne ?
Reserves - Reid, sears, hines
Am i missing anyone, because that squad is BLOODY BARE, massive holes and zero cover and its relying on green, cole and piq staying.
^^ that needs 7 more ! let alone we are signing 7 in the window.
Im not sure Sam has any more money to spend until we sell off Parker and lets face it thats going to be a deadline day deal for someone desperate to land a midfielder because all their other targets have failed to come off.
Sorry just not feeling the optimism....fighting in league 1 next year unless they sort their shit out. I dont like selling before you buy as i think its just reckless, but lets hope they know what there doing....
Spot on Lord of the Flies!
I see the Daily Mirror reporting we have accepted a £10m offer from Fenerbache for Scottie. However he doesn't want to uproot his young family despite the move presumably securing his £70k pw pay packet. If true it once again demonstrates that so many of these footballers are so removed from reality it makes you sick. The likes of us turning up on a Saturday to pay their salaries would happily uproot our families (or even leave them behind for the better good of their future) for a fraction of their take home. Personally I'm lost for any more words but assume HF you'll pick up on one of your favourite topics!
LOL, I've just posted mate. Where are you at the moment? Experiencing an Arab rebellion?
HF, Sam is a better manager in his sleep than Pards could ever hope to be.
Once again HF no one agrees with you, not even me. At least you're consistent.
No, but I was in Wichita this week, home of the first ever Pizza Hut! Back to the Gulf next week dreaming of one day finding a magic lamp to rub and be granted the wish of 70k pw!
