Hartless Pompey Deserve To Go Down

So Pompey have parted company with Paul Hart and look set to appoint Avram Grant. How shoddy is that? Hart saved them from relegation last season and then saw his team sold from underneath him to repay the massive debts accrued by 'Arry. Yes they are bottom, but they have been playing with great spirit from what I have seen and have been punching above their weight given the meagre resources available. Most experts agree that they were unlucky to lose on Saturday - it is hardly Hart's fault that the penalty was more of a pass back!

Throughout, Hart has shown great dignity, pressing ahead with optimism despite seeing his squad torn apart by Storrie and the Board. Unlike Zola, he seems to have been employing the right tactics and the reaction of the Pompey boys after their first victory of the season showed that he had them pumped up and that they were playing for their manager. Dear God, haven't they won two games 4-0? What would we give at West Ham for a 4-0 victory!

I have nothing against Pompey but I hope they go down now. To give the guy a contract in July and sack him in November isn't just crazy, it is downright Hartless!

Seems you are more bothered about jamie's Dad and Tell us a storrie than Hart himself. The guy is genuine, honest and very nice. The problem is he's just not a premier league manager - period. PUP

Nope, I'm concerned about Hart. Shoddy treatment at best, shameful treatment more like.

he should never have been appointed in afraid. 10 defeats in 13 time to go.
anyway how you a hammers fan can talk you lot all wanted curbishley out even when he finished 10th.
hopefully he will come to us and you'll take our place at the end of the season.

As a pompey fan i think they have shit on him from a great height, not only did he keep us up, have his team sold around him. the thing is the team aren't playing badly, but they playing for Paul Hart this comes at a bad time, now i think we really will struggle to stay up

Paul Hart, Pompey..Zola, West Ham....what's the difference? Ahhhhhhhh....... I know, you slag West Ham off all the time.

So Pompey deserve to get relegated because they sacked their manager? And if West Ham sack Zola - what then? Deserved relegation as well?

Eh, exactly how long should he have been given? Until we were mathematically relegated, who would that benefit?

Oh.

I think some Pompey fans are failing to realise that it is not Hart's record as more the boards actions that needs to be looked at. In every interview Hart was calm and enthusiastic about the next game, hardly slating off ref's. I don't put that record with that man without taking the dreadful transfer dealings and handling of finances in account.

Indeed, Edz, he was a nice guy.

However most of us have seen tactical blunders and over-cautious displays during his short term with us. Couple that with his previous record and no one could say he is not the man for the job.

Personally I believe our available squad is better than the results he achieved.

As for Hammersfan try getting off your high horse (or stop writing mediocre stories to get traffic).

He was given more than enough time with no signs of change.
