Says it all really! He didn't play at Villa and didn't complete either of the games against Bolton or Man Utd. Before he came off against Bolton we were losing 2-0. We drew the remainder of the game 1-1. Before he was withdrawn against the Mancs, we were losing 3-0. We drew the remainder of the game 0-0!
What an inspired choice. The guy is earning over £80k a week and still hasn't completed a full 90 minutes since joining the club. He didn't even make it on to the bench for the Oxford game as it is obviously asking too much to expect Sicknote to turn out twice in a week!
Who deserved it more than Dyer? Well Parker won the penalty against Bolton and scored the winner against Oxford. That's two telling contributions to Dyer's nil. And Parker has also been on the field for every minute that we have played so far this season.
But who cares about little details like that? Such is the amazement at Dyer actually playing that everybody has been blinded to the fact that he missed a gilt edged chance against Bolton which, had he scored, would probably have set us on the road to victory.

I've not bothered checking out the 5% discounts on Season Tickets as I decided in the Summer NOT to renew after many years, but is it 5% off the original price with one game(or 5% of the total fixtures )already played? Sounds like the sort of market trader offer the two Davids would make.
10% discount after the Chelsea game anybody???

It just goes to show you how bad the rest of them were then doesn't it? He was the only one who actually looked anything like a Premiership footballer during August.
Sad but true
What's more amazing is that Noble came 3rd! I bet you had he not featured all month, Noble still would have been voted up there.
I think Dyer's was more of a played for a month than player of the month award. People were just happy he made it.
well you have to admit that Dyer was nearly the only one against ManU who showed some creativity. The poll was opened just after that game so most people reminded his efforts.
The leech does not deserve this award. For years he has done nothing except of course enjoy his inflated pay check every week. It was not to long ago that west ham wanted him to retire!! What a joke this is.
The stats you quote HF don't always reveal the true picture. As far as contibution on the pitch is concerned DYER was certainly the most impressive I saw.
This is West Ham - he'll be awarded a new contract soon.
He buzzed around a lot Essex mate, but what did he DO? Parker won the penalty and scored a goal. Dyer did neither - but he did fail to convert a nailed on chance. Can you recall one defence splitting pass? One great cross? One crucial tackle?
