0236, why do I need a guy to be nailed to a cross to understand right from wrong? If you are a Christian, are you a communist too? What did Jesus say about a rich man, heaven, camels and eyes of needles? Would you have turned the other cheek in 1939 and allowed Hitler to do as he please in Europe? Would you pay unfair taxes to an invading army led by a tyrant just for a quiet life?
Jesus was a man OF his time, not of all time. If he was the son of God, he would surely have had a more sophisticated understanding of economic modelling and, instead of just raising Lazarus, he would have taught medical skills to enable life saving. What a wasted opportunity Jesus represents. If the Son of God had really come to the Earth 2000 years ago, he could have brought some of the knowledge that we now have and spared generations from hidious want and suffering.

His performance at the weekend clearly justified his continued selection. He's been great for us in the past and has more than earned the right for us to give him the opportunity to rebuild his confidence in the first team.

I am most certainly not "out of my waters" given my recent study of representational art in Christianity and why Christianity spread in the 300 years immediately after the death of Jesus. Erm, if he didn't have more good games than bad, he wouldn't play would he? The most important thing about a keeper is that he doesn't make mistakes and that his presence gives confidence to his defence. I don't think that's been true of Green for more than 12 months now. One good game is not enough.

Tell me, why did Jesus tell a young man to sell his possessions and give his money to the poor if he wasn't expousing a form of Socialism / Communism. If he said this to an old man on his death bed, your interpretation may be valid. But he didn't! Learn your Bible mate!

I am not a religious person myself HF but I believe in God and the message of Christ. I have no doubt, although I did not expect it, that you have actually studied the subject in depth but peripherally. And I am sure you have done a decent job of that, logically, arguing your case.
Incidentally, I never asked you to censor anything. My comment was that in my humble opinion this is not how you should try to understand God. It doesn't really matter whether Christ has walked on water or whether he was resurrected or not. His message is what really matters. God exists within his message.
I don't think that it is really possible to explain God by analysing what the Church has done (most of it negative if you ask me) or through the physics of time and space. God is beyond anything that we can understand and yes, I believe he is inside every single one of us (irrespective of what we believe him to be).
My reference, about you being "out of your waters" was with regard to the way you go about to understand and explain God rather whether you have studied the history of religion which you obviously have done. Anyway, Christ said that you have to feel not think your way to God.
But I apologise if my comment about you being out of your waters was harsh. I fully respect every man's right to have an opinion.
Back to football however, what are your views about our next game against Fulham. Will we continue to improve and get three points? What about the fact that Fulham is still unbeaten? If we play with the same passion as last week I am sure we can beat them.

Thanks for the offer Stani but I really could do with less rather than more religion. I believe that one does not need a passport from any Church to access God. And there is only one God despite how many religions humans made up to worship him. I wouldn't be a good Muslim as I don't consider myself to be a good Christian either. But unlike, HF, I do believe in God; I just don't believe in religion.
