Fry Mocks QPR

It comes to something when an overweight intellectual homosexual intrudes a digit into the ocular orifice of  your association of football practitioners. Verbalising his cerebration on the One Show last night, Stephen Fry compared the reaction to promotion in Norwich to the muted response to winning the Championship in Shepherds Bush. In effect, Fry implied that QPR are not a proper football club because they do not possess an indigenous supporter platform. Is it simply that Fry doesn't like playing in the bush? Or does he have a point?

Not a bit of it according to I'm Tony, Fly Me. The venerable majority share holder of the Rs has fondly recalled watching Rangers in the early 1980s whilst living in London, delighting in the skills of the incomparable Stanley Don't Fly Me Bowles. The only trouble is, Bowles left QPR in 1979! Oops Tony, you really should check out the facts before you spout your PR bullshit!

Less QI and more Queer Street at QPR these days it seems! But with Barton tweeting Orwell, perhaps he should guest on Fry's intellectual banter fest. Then Fry would really understand what is meant by a poke in the eye!

Sounds like a bitter West Spam fan who wishes his club was taken over by Fernandes but instead you have Bill and Ben the flower pot men in charge. Were in the Premier League and your not. By the way the colours of black on white is bad for the eyes so i wont be looking at your site again

It must be because it is white on black!

And does Fry support West Ham? I thought he was a director of Norwich!

It's not the first time such envy is being published.
In the mid seventies, Manchester United player Gordon Hill said something like this:
"West London don't deserve QPR."

He said this while QPR were top of the league, playing in front of the odd 20.000 attendance at Loftus Road.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, realised that they couldn't catch QPR (and Liverpool) in the race for the championship.

Stephen Fry and Gordon Hill. It's all about envy.

It just gives me the hump when people make comments like that,i shouldn't of jumped down your throat like that sorry mate,But u have made some negative comments about QPR on this site recently

I have seen a few negative comments on this site so it does get my back up ,

Why does this site do stuff on QPR all the time? As a West Ham fan myself, it makes you look a little bitter. I can't imagine any other fan sites reporting on a club that wasn't a direct rival all the time...

Its ok mate, all is fair in love and war. Football gets us riled.

I am supporting QPR in the Prem this season 1049. Keeping abreast of all that happens in the bush!

Yeah saw Fry on tv. He made the point but missed a bigger one. Norwich weren't being shafted by the FA over nothing, as we were. Even now R's fans have to check with the establishment every 5 minutes to make sure we're allowed to keep the points we earned against Everton and Wolves. QPR would easily take up a 30-35000 stadium. no bigger though, we're pretty realistic. Fry should stick to buggery - he knows way more about that than football.

I think Fry enjoys being shafted over nothing mate!

Stephen fry will take it up the arse from anyone the ugly mug can get hold of. and he has the cheek to insult my Beloved QPR.....

If fry is supposed to have Brains why support Norwich bunch of inbreds.

Fry is NOT a norwich fan!! He has slammed Norwich in the press recently over the mackail-smith saga. He makes a point though, the scenes in Norwich after the promotion were epic; not sure the same can be said for qpr. Having said that, it's more down to the geography of the clubs than the passion of the fans...

Wrong Fry mate.
