KUMB in the rear

On September 22nd, I posted an article entitled "Nolan the obstacle to 4-4-2" and 6 days later KUMB have caught up and are asking "Is Kevin Nolan part of the problem?" Whilst Mr Dale may be delighted that KUMB is in the rear, I am shocked at how long it is taking for the penny to drop with those supposedly in the know about our floundering club.

It was only a few days ago that Daniel Nussbaum on KUMB told us that everything was hunky dory at the Boleyn and that we were on course for promotion. I slated that article then and look how stupid it reads now. Asking if Nolan is part of a problem, that apparently did not even exist 3 days ago, is a bigger volt face than that cnut Clegg made on tuition fees.

The truth, of course, is that yesterday's result simply confirmed what I have been saying for the last couple of weeks. We are playing poorly and Allardyce is, in truth, no closer than Grant and Zola to finding a way of successfully blending his ingredients into a half decent dish to set before the loyal fans.

McCartney is carrying the can for last night's defeat but the truth is that we lost because we had all the punch going forward of Walter the Wimp in the Beano. If you don't score, you struggle. How many goals did Grant's team score in 3 home games against Championship opposition? So much for the corner we have turned under Doctor Evil!

But well done to KUMB for catching up with The Games Gone Crazy. I wonder how many of this site's back threads they will regurgitate over the coming months of the season?

Am I? Or the most honest?

So that's why you like being in front HF?

Hammersfan said...

I keep telling you Stani, I don't like you in that way! Now move along and join the queue on westhamtillIdie!

Why on earth have you made this a personal attack on Iain Dale?

Secondly, you've criticised every single player at our club for years.

You once argued that Parker and Noble need to "be more professional"

So what. You think you've got one right this time?

No personal attack here. I am sure everybody at west ham till I die is delighted to have their rival KUMB bringing up the rear. That's what I meant. How did you read it?

How is 1 loss in 8 games, and being 4th in the second tier of English football a floundering club? Sure, we have dropped some points but I'd hardly describe it as floundering! There are 20 teams below us, as well as 3 more professional leagues - I'd definately say there are people in a worse situation than us.

Last season we were floundering, due to the financial mess we had been left in. But G&S have fixed that, and I think some people expect far too much too soon. Rome wasn't built in a day! Remember last time it took us 2 attempts to be truely ready for promotion, and this was before the disaster that was Magnusson.

The truth is that we have been unable to play 4-4-2 for years now, and that we looked much better in a 4-5-1 situation.

I am in agreement about Nolan though, the man has looked sluggish and fatigued and I would much rather see a line up in a V formation (from left to right) of Taylor - Noble - Diop - Lansbury - Faubert with Collison and Bentley looking to come on.

However I am concerned in who would take captain off of him, as I believe he is the most influencial captain we have had since Lucas Neill. No one has been on top of the referee or liensman for decisions against us; Upson in particular was useless as a captain.

On a more personal level, I am kind of disappointed to how many posts you have made that are a "look at what I was right about when I said this." It's lazy, and would find it much better if you started writing solely about our club again, rather than pathetic attempts at an ego boost.

Lazy? The articles still have to be written!

I didn't know there was a queue HF, but I'll take your word for it.

Will you stop crying if we get promoted?

Hammersfan said...

I would then be crying with joy!

I'm supposed to be writing some stuff for Kumb when I finally get around to it. I think I'll have to use a pseudonym for fear of attracting your wrath hf :p

Evidently Nolan reckons he is off form because he and his wife are living in a city they never expected to live in. Must be hard for them on fifty grand a week.

And i brung out my "is Kevin Nolan overrated" post on the 19th :P

Hammersfan said...

Well done Rex! But it is "brought" mate!

RexHammer said...

hahaha...that is the 2nd time this week i have been caught out saying that! The spelling does not matter anyway...it is the principle!

Hammersfan said...

The spelling doesn't matter? This is Fanno you are talking to mate! And it does matter if you want News Now to platform you. Anyway, "brung" is horribly East End working class.

Mike said...

He done got you there Rex.

RexHammer said...

I hold my hands up. I won't say brung ever again! Funny enough...it doesn't get 'brought' up as a spelling error with Google chromes spell check! Unless I added it to the dictionary :S
