Great Day For Leeds As Cardiff and Leicester Lose
Nose bleed time, Leeds are up to twelfth in the Championship after today's win, and what-is-more, Old Big Gob's team won at home by two clear goals for the first time this season. It's beginning to look like Fortress Elland Road all of a sudden and should the Whites beat Boro, they could suddenly be on the shoulder of the promotion contenders half way through the race!
What a joke division this is however. How can you bet on football when Cardiff, in top spot and with a long unbeaten home record, go down to bottom of the table Posh? As for Leicester, Pearson is looking more and more like a clown with his former club Hull now 4 points clear of the mangy Foxes. Divine justice!
All in all, it was a great day for Leeds but ultimately frustrating because, once again, it illustrates how hard it is to progress up the table once you have had a bad start. Warnock's charges are still only in mid table and are still four points off a play off place. The home form is now excellent but to make a real charge, they have to start winning on their travels too.
