Don't Renew Season Tickets If Curbishley Is Reinstated

Oh dear, oh dear. oh dear. I warned that Zola's days were numbered and that the next chapter in the epic blockbuster series, "How West Ham Won The World Cup And Were Then Destroyed" would be entitled, "The Return Of Turds". Well, the papers are now full of rumours that Zola is being frozen out and will walk when "his" team is broken up in the summer. Just as I predicted, we can expect to see Upson, Green and Behrami depart in the summer; now, it seems, we can add Da Costa and Diamanti to that list. Chilling.

Now I can understand why Upson and Green have been earmarked for sale, and if Unreal City are genuinely willing to part with £15m for huff and puff Behrami, then in Sullivan's position, I would snatch their arm off! But Diamanti? Who on earth would want to get rid of our "New Di Canio"?

Who indeed? Well, is Diamanti a Curbishley type of player? Of course he isn't! I am going to have money on Curbishley being reinstated before next August. I reckon the details have already been thrashed out. We have agreed to pay him reduced compensation to tide him over until Zola walks. He has been asked his opinion on the squad and said that he can do without the Nani signings - so that's Behrami, Da Costa, Ilunga and Diamanti out of the door.

I reckon the only way of stopping this is direct action. Season ticket holders should start writing to Sullivan and Gold now, making clear season tickets will not be renewed if Curbishley is reinstated. Money talks with these guys, it is the only language they understand!

I hope not. Cant people remember Zola has been playing with half a team we even had Nouble as our lone striker - if we dont have strikers then how do we score - now that we have we are playing better D&D need to give him a chance sing Curbs is a backward step and have they forgotten he picked players that were injury prone leaving a depleted side which has help cause the financial situation we are in!!! Still feel a reduced compensation and an agreement to be new manager may have been offered to the Curbs.

Listen we are financially f@#&ed mate and we have some hard choices to make.

Sullivan definitely realizes that we can stay up relatively easily with cheap journeyman cloggers for at least a few seasons till the Olympic stadium situation shapes up.

I think Fabregas will be sold within the next 10 years, I bet i'll be right.

If it is the case then I can only imagine that Curbishley has managed to convince G&S that all the previous mess was Eggert's fault alone.

I still cannot believe they will fall for it and hire a manager that has been so complicit in our struggles of the recent past. The question then is was Curbishley's settlement a reduced figure and if so, why did he take a reduced figure?

With all the openness G&S are showing, certainly there is cause for concern when they need to hide something.

What are they hiding then Stani 1748? This is all conjecture remember, prove to us that you're not too far up there and can actually think for yourself. What are they hiding and where is your evidence proof even?

If the club cannot attract any top managers, which is a high possibilty if we cannot provide them with a decent transfer kitty to build their team. All depends what investors come onboard in the summer.Should think ZOLA will be safe until then unless results on the pitch really start going pear shaped. If we cannot attract a top manager then obviously SULLIVAN and GOLD would have to lower their sights, but come on, getting CURBS back does not make sense. He has just claimed how much off the club in compensation? The fans will really love that!!!That will be taking the piss.

Thinking of not renewing your first mini season ticket already? Too much commitment too soon )

Hammersfan said...

Does anybody want Curbishley back? If there is no substance in this, would it hurt to write to G&S making clear opposition to the reappointment of Curbishley? IF YOU DON'T, AND CURBISHLEY IS REAPPOINTED, WILL YOU BE IN ANY POSITION TO COMPLAIN?

Hammersfan said...

The point is Essex, Curbishley took reduced compo. Why did he do that exactly? There were rumours Turds was on his way back when G&S started bidding for the club.

You "warned Zola's days were numbered" ???!!!!

And there was me thinking that you'd spent the last 6 months trying to ensure that they were.

Funny how the prospect of a possible Curbs recall concentrates the mind.

How embarrassing. They are hiding the value of Curbishley's compensation which is what I was talking about. It was undisclosed. If you're feeling a bit stupid now, then there certainly is reason to be.

I know the Curbishley appointment is not a known fact yet, which is why I wrote the phrases "If it is true" and "I still cannot believe they will fall for it".

Had you come here with an open mind, you would have indeed spotted the above. But, you have this manifestation of me in your mind (your creation!) which you have to find reasons for so that it can exist. Reasons that are sometimes not even there; as the above has proved. Let it go, when you have a free mind, you will see everything differently.

Curbs aint comming back so dont worry. Hammersfan you are a total knob as if you are gonna get a season ticket next year anyway

Stani @1901 here is my free mind at work in stark contrast to your feeble attempt at psycho-babble with someone elses ridiculus attempt to get hits. Re arrange this well known phrase or saying Your nose, end of, as far as, see. Alan Curbishley’s compensation was not undisclosed it is fairly common knowledge if you had the nous Who’s feeling stupid now? He did not take a reduced figure the crap press had mooted an astronomical figure, that’s your evidence fool but before the haggling went to court it was settled prior. Christiano Ronaldo will sign for West Ham United before Curbishley any fool with half a brain OF THEIR OWN would know that. It's Iain Dales benign for you matey, thinking for yourself is a little out of your depth

Hammersfan said...

So 1920, how about putting a name to that prediction?

SW4, me trying to get Zola the tin tack? He hasn't needed any help from me! He played 4-3-3, not me!

It was certainly here that Curishley's return was mooted, but not by you...........It was me! And not even an acknowledgement..... How very dare you sir!!

@18:14 Mate Now THAT IS funny! Priceless

O dear. Now I know why you don't leave a name. It's to prevent this dumbness from being attributed to you.

If neither Alan Curbishley or the club stated a figure upon the agreement of the settlement, then this means the figure is undisclosed. Now it doesn't matter what your favourite newspaper The Sun says, it is still undisclosed.

So what is the figure then, if you know, as it is obvious you are deliberately withholding it from me by not mentioning it? The BBC say it was undisclosed. Should I believe them or you?

I don't limit myself to common knowledge, which you clearly do by referring to what I said as 'psycho-babble'. Rather than try to understand it, you completely dismissed it and labelled it as 'psycho-babble'. This is just a representation of your fear; a fear of learning, learning the truth.

Think for myself? I should quote you my IQ here but my modesty won't allow me, even if you could understand a figure that high. But it's amongst the top 5% of the population; a percentage of the population which quite clearly doesn't include the commonness of you.

the only time in our clubs history we have had big money to spend and curbs bought ever clubs injury list and crap players they wanted to get rid of, we are well rid of him and his dire tactics, zola is a breath of fresh air and should be given time and little interference from these clowns that now own the club

@stani - shame about the grammar "a percentage of the population which quite clearly doesn't include the commonness of you" wtf does that mean when it's a home? high IQ or not you don't make much sense old chum. Comprehensive was it?

1814 you ARE the DON "Thinking of not renewing your first mini season ticket already? Too much commitment too soon"

bloody brilliant son.

Now THAT'S why I visit here!

Hammersfan said...

1814, keep it up son. I have an American company looking to buy the site as a platform for their "soccer" coverage in the UK based on the growth of the readership. Keep entertaining readers, the more hits I get, the more commercial interest there is in the site.

The latest offer was almost three times the previous offer. The figures are still chicken feed in relation to my present income but if the site grows at the same rate over the next 12 months and the next offer is three times the current offer, then the figures will get interesting.

How does it feel to be lining my pockets? Tell me, can you spell mug? Honestly the stupidity is beyond the fantastic!

Hammersfan said...

Marty, of course I have credited you because you are me and I am you, so if you predicted it, I predicted it, and so it goes without saying!

How about making it down for one of the last 5 home games of the season? Would be great to meet for that drink.

Re-read Brighton Rock yet?

God, how I hope Curbishley doesn't return. Then, I promise to credit you with the prediction!

Anonymous 2147 2351,
Have you read your comments back? Yet you diss me on my grammar? And by doing so you accept you was wrong in regards to what we were arguing about right? Since you never mention it? How nice of you to admit so.

Use the @ sign sparingly, it'll look more believable (if you deny it's you, then you're brown-nosing someone, or being brown-nosed. Catch 22!). And a few commas here and there won't hurt.

Now stop embarrassing yourself. I really, sincerely, do feel bad about p***ing on you like this.

Do you ever open your "In" box? There's a brilliant article in there that would have run well when it was submitted but may be a bit of a has been now.

If you worked for my newspaper I'd send you out with one of the cub reporters. No, not the one who's bum makes a regular appearance at the head of your articles; the spotty one with the grammatical dexterity of most of your anonomous contributors!

Enjoy the game today, I'm ill in bed, bring me back a stick of rock, I've heard it's got "firesale" written right through it!

Sorry Marty, I haven't been on that email for over a week now. I'll check it out.

Just to lighten up a bit and to start the weekend off with a little levity .... non related as it is.

A woman was at the local police station complaining of being sexually assaulted by Kevin Pieterrson.

The desk sergeant, after being given a description of the man which included being over six foot tall, all white shoes, clothing and, South African accent and wearing pads from ankle to above the knee asked if that was how she knew it was the former England captain. "No," she said, "I could tell it was him because he wasn't in for long".

Everyone seems to have short memories.

As has been proved the club "done the dirty" on Curbishley and he deservedly won compensation.

Who was the manager that kept us up the other year against all the odds? You don't need 3 guesses.

Who was the manager the following season when the squad was decimated by injury, yet he kept picking up scrappy draws and scrappy wins and kept us in the top half of the table? Again you don't need 3 guesses.

Carlton cole improved immensely under Curbishley, then some more under Zola. However only Zola ever gets credit.

I am neither for nor against Curbishley. What I am convinced of is that if he had stayed at Upton Park, we would have ended up with more points last season and we would probably been higher up the table this season.

Like him or hate him, thats a matter of personal opinion. What is beyond debate is that he is an experienced manager and Zola is just learning. I know who I would go to to get me out of trouble.
