Nobody will be surprised to see that McBenni has been left out of the 25 man squad but the exclusion of Ilunga is another matter. Once again, we have left ourselves with only one specialist left back - and have done so by choice.
What happens if Bridge gets injured? Gabbidon at left back? Or Boa? Or Jacobsen playing on the wrong flank? Or, God help us, Specs?
Why does the club have this contempt for full backs? Surely we should have learnt the lesson by now!
How stupid are we going to look if Bridge pulls up with a hamstring injury tonight?

I can't beleive we left Illunga out and kept Spector and Gabbidon in the team!!!
With Hitzelsberger and Collisson having been out for so long it's questionable whether they will be able to get up to speed before our season comes to an end. Poor though he has been Ilunga would have been a better alternative, but for some reason I'm not in the least surprised.
On recent form, I'd have Gabbidon, Spector or Reid at LB before Ilunga.
He's been a liability for months. Looks unfit and disinterested.
