Fair play to Gold: when put on the spot, he accepts the buck stops with him. He "thought" he had "done enough" in January and that we had a squad good enough to get out of trouble. The problem is, why did he wait until January? Had we STARTED with our present squad, we would be safe by now. But Sullivan and Gold tried to save the pennies and now it's likely to cost them millions.
Meanwhile Grant doesn't think we should be in the bottom three. Somebody should tell him that your place in the table is determined by the number of points you have, then he might grasp the concept of getting your just deserts.
And back to Gold, he admitted that Parker is off in the summer if we go down. No surprises there, of course, but it does put a question mark against that Mr West Ham tag doesn't it? Why was he at Stamford Bridge sat next to Jamie? Question answered!

Absolutely. You're beginning to sound more and more like me HF!
Seriously though, don't you think Gold should have waited till the end of the season to say that, or better still, not say anything at all? What will the players think and how will they react in games knowing they've got their move if we go down.
They know that anyway Stani. I thought he came across well actually.
I doubt they knew it for sure HF. I'm sure they would have had it on their mind but leaving them guessing would have kept them on their toes rather than give them a free ticket.
I added him to twitter HF...Yep, Gold! He's got there before you!

Parkers going?! no you don't say, really? never would have believed it! you really are a fountain of knowledge. How do you do it? it must be a gift.
Sullivan did earlier on make the proviso that players would only be sold 'at the right price'so, 'frig about' put in poor performances and low offers come in, you stay. Presumably it is written into their contracts that their money goes down if the club goes down, if not, that would be management incompetence.
Gold/Sullivan & Brady, and their choice Grant are the biggest problem. On Foootball Focus today, it was hinted that some/many of theplayers have problems with 'manager & administration' of the club. To be honest, it's looked like that ALL season. inexperienced as Zola was, he had the players on his side. To replace him with Grant has been a mistake that Gold/Sullivan failed to see , focussing on the OS bid to exclusion of everything else.
In short, morale at WHU is shot to pices, and that comes from the top.
